Its been raining on and off all day this is where I'm at now.

Just have to put on my exhaust and install my temp gauge sending unit then the temp and boost gauge.

I may install the walbro pump or I may just start it with the stock pump.

I would install the pump before getting it running. you'll start it up and then want to drive it, and then you'll keep putting it off until it goes boom

Can't drive it any ways I don't have insurance or it registered yet . Not only that I still won't be hitting boost until the engine is fully broken in

But yes you are right I should just install it it should only take 30 minutes

starts and runs, didn't switch the fuel pump yet.

Turbo seems like its blown its smoking alot and the crappy weld job on my down pipe leaked what looked like to be oil through a small hole and slowly went down the down pipe and turned into a very hard like plastic feeling substance

How long did you run the engine for?

When I started up my engine for the first time it smoked for close to 30 minutes from everywhere! After that all the way up until now I have not seen any smoke since.

thanks guys, the Turbo is fine everything stopped smoking now my problem seems to be a vacuum leak or something causing my car not to hold an idle below 1100-1500rpm

the car will sound like its having little misfires and idle will drop then come back up.

other then that the down pipe that I had welded won't even fully torque on because the welds are in the way even after grinding.them for two.hours with grinding.stones.

I just want a new down pipe...

other than that the fuel gauge isn't working, everything else seems fine , I still have to burp my coolant system but its not overheating at all

Just ordered a new starter, new corksport tid , fuel pump rewire kit, and denso air filter.

Considering a small catch can for my oil fill tube may get that later.

Trying to get my bac valve to operate today and car is still having cold start troubles...not sure if bac is working but my radiator decided to let go and now I need to replace that...better to happen in the driveway then while on the road.

Koyo or similar is what I want

Still have a big list of things I need to fix, buy/install...but the good thing is the car is running good and drives nice.

I'm working on fixing the speedometer, fuel gauge , and the bac valve, everything else beyond that shouldn't be that difficult.

All in all, I love the way the car drives and handles, I now know why I've put all this work into the car.

new steering wheel and shift ****.

I need a better steering wheel hub I don't like mine, this wheel is a little bigger than I thought it'd be might go back to a smaller size but I'll see how this one works out.

its 350mm, last one had to be 320mm or around there.

I'm using the NRG short hub, 10mm spacer and thin quick release. I wanted the wheel to be as close to stock as possible. It's damn close and solid. The Mazdaspeed wheel actually flexes if I put pressure on it. The NRG setup was $240ish through 9k Racing.

Glad to see it running! How many more miles for break-in? I'll be firing mine up next week sometime.
