wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.

I saw pictures of your car somewhere randomly throughout this site, but I didn't realize it was yours. Your car was clean before, now its ridiculous.

Kinda wish I still had mine, woulda been nice to line up next to yours. White wheels and all. I needa check this beast out next time I'm in Carson.

p.s. are those really 18x9.75? because I've never heard of that size before.

Let me know when your in the area, I'd be down to chill. I wish you still had your car too, you're one of the reasons I went white on my fc And yah, xxr made 18x9.75. I honestly have no idea why but its all good cause another .25inches and it would be hitting my coilovers.

Haha thanks. Yeah, white wheels look rad on Red or Blue FCs. And I might actually be heading up there this weekend for family stuff so I'll let you know I guess.

A buddy of mine has them on his 240 and is looking for trades at the moment. I'll ask him if he can sell them and for how much. Should've bought them while I had them, would have been so much easier for the both of us haha.

Quick question, now that the half bumper is installed, what is the distance from the bottom of the molding to the actual bottom of the bumper?

IMO, xd9s would be so much cooler haha. XD9s are definitely pretty high on my wheel favorites list.

Ohhh thanks for reminding me. I remember I was trying to figure that out even before I got the half bumper. I'll go ahead and measure it after work tomorrow.

All good, doesn't matter to me. Ohh I went out and got the measurements for you too.

Center: 10 inch
Corners: 10.5 inch
Sides In front of Wheel: 12inch

Thats from the bottom of the trim to the bottom of the bumper, so you can get an idea of how low it will sit.

Hypertek: I also got your pics that you wanted.

I hope taking the diff is pretty straight forward so I didnt really take pics on that, but heres the shims.

Cut out your shims first.

This is what your shims should look like.

In order from top to bottom. 1 cone shim......6 aluminum can shims on the bottom

Size: 39.8 KB

Here you can see the shiny aluminum can shims on the bottom of the stack. Make sure you lube every shim while restacking them.

You're going to need some bolts to keep everything together while you put back in the 4 tapered screws. I used the axle bolts in the meantime.

I used a total of 5 shims before, the breakaway was near 80-90ft/lbs. I got tired of it so I threw in an extra 7 shims which put me at 12 total shims. Its 100% locked 24/7. It doesn't slip at all and is basically a welded.

I think 7-8 shims should be good, 5 on mine was decent.

So my eyes weren't playin tricks on me. Some of the shots make the front look flat all the way around, and the others look like you hit a speed bump going to fast lol. Hmmmm looks like i might have to make my own to get what i truly want. Thanks for the measurment, great advice and ideas on here too.

Im not 100% sure, but I think I remember seeing someone do it on a T2 diff.

Well I shimmed mine to where its locked 24/7. So it acts like a welded and don't risk breaking welds.

BTW, I was able to get a little quality seat time and the diff feels GREAT! Before I would understeer like ALOT, now it just floats around with ease. Going to track this upcoming weekend, so I'm prepping a few things here and there. I'll get back to you guys on monday with updates, or maybe later this week for something else.

But for now...

Went to sideway sundays yesterday. Overall the car felt great and my understeering/pushing problem for the most part went away. I feel alot more comfortable in the car, just need to get on its level and learn how to drive better haha.

Curious...how would I get easier lock when using my handbrake. It was almost useless to me at this event because I had to rip it to the sky. I had to really go out of my way for it to lock which made me lose focus alot and spin lmao.
