Johnny's FC- Ongoing Build
#28
Made some good progress this weekend.
Mazdaspeed engine mounts (35% stiffer) installed on both sides as well as cleaning driver's side mounting bracket.
Racing Beat front sway bar and end links installed.
Also tucked, cleaned up, painted, and deleted some stuff in the engine bay, looks way cleaner than before.
With the stiffer mounts that don't sag as much, my strut tower bar now contacts my upper radiator hose :/ oh well...

Also came up with my goals as far as the engine is concerned once a rebuild is necessary. I'd like to have 150 rwhp/litre when it's all said and done, putting it at 195 wheel hp. We'll see how that goes soon enough...

Finished installing the coilovers and put in a Battle Version camber link before getting the car aligned on Friday.
I used the specs from FC3Spro.com for toe and tried to eliminate as much rear camber as possible (the bar is at it's shortest). It took out about 1.2 degrees. Camber on the fronts was fine even with the camber plates set to the setting that they came with.
Went to one of the first meets of the year with my dad last night...

Solder: thanks man, the front bumper is made by Mariah Motorsports
Jonas: haha I guess you could say that, he's had quite the history with Japanese metal, his first car was a '72 240Z

Simon: the meets are usually on Saturday nights from 6-10, usually every other week
Gregory: i reallyyyyy like the Stances, they're stiff but not too much so. I haven't been able to do any track driving, but i think i'll be doing my first track day in November, so check back here.
Invincible, 88turbo: thanks!
