90% of my spare time is at the car right now hoping to get it back on the road before september 8, IF i get the engine back this weekend...
So that means a lot of work is going on.
Both front fenders are on the car, same for the head lamps.
Fuel pumps are connected.
Fabricated a plate that sits on the ABS ECU spot with fuse boxes on it. A piece of carbon found its way to the radio spot with 2 switches so far. One for the in-tank pump and one for the main pump. A fuel pressure gauge will be on the same place leaving one other spot avalible for another gauge. I am now electronical and mechanical prepaired for a second main pump if i ever need one. I only need to buy a pump and 3th switch.
Gearbox is filled with oil, and made some protection under the safetey harness hooks from some bumper foil from a VW transporter.
Oh, and for the ones that are intrested, gearbox is filled with with oil also from VW (/audi / seat / skoda).

did you replace the bushings on the rear dog bones? (not quite sure what they are called, the things that attach the control arms to the subframe). did you use oem or aftermarket ones?
edit: nevermind, i see you are using aftermarket camber adjusters

Time for a big update actualy:
I have been working hard to get her done before yesterday for one of the coolest events so far here in holland: Dumpd 2012.
Thursday and fryday were my 2 days off to make it happen, unfortunataly i noticed that my waterpump was leaking on thursday evening. So instead of starting the engine i had to get another one, what i did the same evening.
Fryday morning it was time to put it back together, fill her up with juice and crank it. Small check, EGI fuse back in, cranked it again...oh wait, forgot the fuel pumps (need to get used to that!).
She was willing from the start but not able to idle, after having a few things tried i gave up and just let it idle the best i could make it. Got her out of the garden, into the streets. Washed it a bit and wanted to go for a test drive.
I wasn't out of the street yet or i noticed that i had little brake pressure, so it was a quick round back and have a look. A leak at the left rear was an easy fix and i was able to brake again. Off we go!
I drove to the pre-meet and guys were like whaaat? Apperently i showed up completely unexpected
I made it to Dumpd 2012 with minor glitches that still need to be solved, but i'm sure we'll get there!
For an impression, this is the event i've been to:
Wangan Warriors « a life style
And this is a short vid of how she currently runs, not smooth yet.

thx.
Dyno is next year. Car will go back in the tent later this year. Furb's BNR stage 4 turbo will be fitted and when she comes out i'll make an appointment for a remap and see what it will do.
Also, the cusco cage arived in the uk and it is expected to be at my resaler next week.

I could, I think the shell will be pretty much complete at that point , just no engine in it though, which is really pretty much the only special thing about the car. I probably wouldn't need a trailer though, It's so close I can push the car there

More work!
Furb was able to bring his BNR stage turbo on our meeting today wich I bought. Allong with some KG-parts fuel rail.
Hope to come across a affordable ARC top mount to fit until i go V-mount. I think the stock IC will be a restrictor....

I've had the front mount, it works, but nothing beats a v-mount in performance, cooling and throttle response.

I will ferdi, i will. But i might need something different then stock untill i go V-mount.
V-mount is a big step, and i want to compleet the body first so i can optimize it with the front bumper i want. you know, bigger hole is more air that can go true
And i have done enough technical so far, so the body is the next project.
