Good to see things are on their way besides the body work. Hope to see the results in real life some day.

More work has been done in a few days as i didn't need to work. Pic's should say enough. I am almost done with the welding, then i need to grind the welds for a nice finnish but not completely flat.
Can't wait till that has been done, then i can go on with the better work

Picked up my flocked dash up today, it looks good.
Also some fake brides. Not perfect but they will do the job for now. Maby later on a set of real brides or completely different seats. We'll see.

Looks really nice, man. When I bought my FC, the previous owner had oiled the dash extremely shiney. The glare was anoying the crap out of me! Did the Skyline Club guy do it?

I have those same seats. You're going to love em. They are so comfy, and definitely do the job as far as holding you in place. I did a 6 hour drive in them, and when I finally got home and sat on my couch, my first thoughts were, "man this couch is uncomfortable!" Lol, and have done many drift events in them and are some serious holding monsters.

Thx, i have test fitted the seats today and put them in the right position. Problem is tough, the steering wheel is to close. So i need to swap my NRG quick release for a smaller one
@tofuman, R-developments did it.
Also been welding and grinding all day long. not much welding left to do

Not sure how tall you are, and how your leg/arm ratio is, but position seems pretty spot on for sporty driving to me... Have you put your wrists on top of the steering wheel strapped in the seat with your shoulders pushed back?

Nice update,
Finnished the big welding project and also primed and painted the outside
Then i began to take the rear subframe appart. Had some trouble with a DTSS bolt and still need to get a caliper bracket bolt out that snapped.
Today i mounted the subframe, diff and tank back under the car to see how i can run the fuel lines
Then also had look about how to place all the bits in the trunk

Been working on the fuel system as sort of "next project". Decided how to place everything in the trunk and now i'm busy getting the fuel lines where they need to be.
Made a bracket for a bulkhead fitting for easy disconnection when needed.
Made fuel line brackets. As i am using rivet nuts, i would be kicking agains them as they would be in the floor panels.
Doesn't sound like a lot, but it is a time consuming job..
Both brackets in preparation for dual feed lines by the way. Return goes along the other side of the car.

celestial,
we did 4 at the time what came around 90 euro's per dash. However, the fc dash is very hard to do according to them so it was at above 100 euro's, plus the clovecompartment in total of 150 euro's.
I've got another update, starting with the engine.
I had engine problems after the dyno in the uk and i decided to bring the engine away to pull it apart. It was out of the engine anways.
As i expected a broken seal or one that is stuck, it turned out to be a side and apex seal that was stuck. So the decision to pull it appart was a good one!
As you can see on the first 2 pic's, there is line visible along the inner coolant seal. Its not a groove but more a difference in hight. I understand the cause yet but it will be the question if it is useble or not.
black spots due blow by gasses
The plans are to rebuild it, obviously. I think about getting the e-shaft bearings replaced, and then for mazda racing bearings. As for the apex seals, not sure yet if it will be stock or different seals.
Last thing i am working on is fitting all the mounting hardware for pretty much everything that has to be made. This before painting.
Made a platform for the swirl pot
Here you can see the 2 lines under the car
and near the subframe i modified the body to make the lines go in a smooth bend
Yesterday i worked on a platform for the fuel pump and today i found some time to make a few lines for the system.
Unfortunately i ran out of rivit nuts so i cannot continue the feed and return lines. So i am trying to figure out what to do and one of the things i did was pulling the front suspension appart.
Thats about it for the moment,

Okay, it been awhile.
Did some work but not to much, stil waiting for that freakin rolcage :S
I've been making the fuel lines and placed the mounting hardware for these lines. Unfortunately that last hose was about 70cm shot, so a new one has been ordered and this wil also be the last hose that's need to be made to the right lenght.
Also been doing exactly the same for the brake hose. Hardline wil be connected to a bulkhead fitting on the firewall. And from there teflon / stainless braided hose in a wide loop in preperation for a hydro handbrake. It goes out true the holes made for the abs wires.
And last but not least, i've recieved my willans 4-point harness last friday. I found a nice spot in the back to weld the stress plates to and i am still considering to weld a few to the floor pannels so i can make it a 6-point harness if i want.
