I guess fuel injected turbo FB projects aren't techinical because your threads been moved to the non-tech first gen section.

Hey Bad,

I think Suburu makes a low and high scoop . Do you know if yours the higher one ? Also , were you able to center the scoop on the hood and still cover the IC? How much bigger is the scoop opening than the IC

Eh, no big deal. This forum is going further down hill every day.

To answer the question about the height of the scoop, there is one taller than mine. I think about an inch or so. I centered the scoop to the hood. The scoop does not cover the intercooler, however the hole is wider than the intercooler on the passenger side.

I snagged a pic of the under side of the hood. I haven't had a chance to finish it yet, so don't give me too much of a hard time over my mounting brackets I am planning on adding some type of screen under the hood to keep any debri from getting on top of the intercooler.

Man I love Haltech ecus. This car is one of my buddies (LongsTurboFB) that he just installed a Haltech E6K. The engine is one of my Bridgeport ports that he just assembled. This thing is a monster.

I haven't updated this thread in a while. I had the girls outside today sitting beside each other and thought I would take a couple pics. Enjoy

Right now I am about 300 rwhp. I would love to hit the 400 hp range, but now the car is about too much. I have thought about putting some Moser axles in to hopefully prevent breaking them. I am overpowering the 3.91 LSD now. Iam going to drop in a 4.10 LSD from a SE. I have one with less than 10K miles on it. Shouldn't be that big of a deal in the ratio differance.

you cant feel the difference between a 3.909 and a 4.10 unless you have skills akin to Schumacher or Andriette.

I would honestly keep the 3.90's in the back. The higher the rear gear is the more initial torque is sent to it. You can snap the rear end much easier with a higher final drive than with the stocker. Also the 4.10's teeth are marginally thinner than the GSL's/etc, so watch those first/second gear dumps

The main reason I am going to go with the SE rear is because I have had one given to me. I am also going to use the SE cloth headliner to replace my failing stocker. The headliner is the only issue I have in the interior.

I hate your APC steering wheel but the rest of your car rocks! where'd you get the white gauges? As much as I'd really hate to be "that guy" if i ever manage to get a TII engine in my fb I'm totally steeling your subi hood scoop idea.

I think he's back to the stock steering wheel now based on the dash pics he posted lately.

Yep, thanks Tim.

Actually I have an S3 burgandy steering wheel on it now and I love it way better. I hope to have the headliner and the 3rd member in a couple weeks. It will be nice to finally finish up a few loose ends

Well, this week was supposed to be Spring Break. It was last week for me when my 8.5 motor decided to eat a corner seal. Yeah, a freakin corner seal of all things. I had been saving a pair of mint housing that came from a carbon apex seal engine with less than 10k miles on them. I had thought about selling them. Damn glad I didn't!!!!!!

I had been putting off getting my 9.4 turbo engine back together untill I got some cryo apex seals fo it. THANK YOU Bryan at RotorSports Racing. I picked up the cyros and a set of teflon coolant seals today. YEAH!!!! I had been doing my porting and cleaning for the last week. Hopefully, tomorrow the assembly will begin

Now. Some pics.

I think this 9.5 pound SR MotorSports flywheel will be a nice addition. I have to resuface it before I throw it in.
