I'm glad to see that 80's Old Schools donations to the community are being put to good use. I envy you Texas guys who got all that cool free stuff!
How difficult was the muffler fabrication? New exhaust might be one of my summer projects....

haha the tires and wheels on the car came from 80soldschool and i painted em flat black. and in the pic with the stock wheels on the ground those are the yokohamas i got from him too.. so heres another big thanks to him. the exhaust was done by my friend at POWELL MUFFLER in vidor texas. he is always helping me out. its an rb header to a high flow magnaflow cat (he got fined for doing straight pipe so he has to watch what he does. its very small and non restrictive) then 2 1/2 inch exhaust to a vibrant 2 1/2 inch inlet 4 inch outlet muffler. its a little big for my taste but sounds great. very deep and throaty, maybe because of the small cat im running. i cant get a good sound clip yet cuz i dont have a video camera but ill try to figure something out.

I heard that car in person, it sounds awesome. A little too loud to be a daily driver for me(I'm getting old and soft), but it really does sound great. Love seeing your car at the meets. It's cool to see you progressing with it, get to see something new at every meet. Keep up the enthusiasm!

ya its definately not a daily driver. my powerstroke if for comfort, a/c and cupholders lol.. the rex is for fun and fun only... the ride to and from houston runnin 80 the whole way at 4k rpm was quite loud tho. i need a louder radio now hahaha

GETTIN THE EXHAUST DONE
A LITTLE NIGHT SHOT OUT AT A KOHLS MEET
NEW 5% LIMO TINT ALL AROUND AND EYEBROW. ITS KINDA DIRTY THO
AND THE WHEELS IM GETTING IN THE NEAR FUTURE
ive rewired alot under the dash, got the air conditioning working even though the freon leaked out. changing all the orings and stuff this week and should hold a charge afterwards. got the cigarette lighter working and restored power to all the things in the car that need power when the key is off. rewired the blower to a toggle switch since something is screwed up with the **** on the dash. radio now has memory so it doesnt reset every time you turn the car off. added a kicker 12 with a rockford fosgate 260watt amp. next coming up is coilovers, wheels and then paint hopefully with income tax...
stay tuned for more

Looking good so far and looks cool with the diamonds (I believe those are cragar nomads) the wheels you after would also look great and just outa curiosity, where did you acquire the dash cover from ?
#12
its just a normal dash cover that is on most websites. its just a cheap plastic cover but actually helped a **** ton on the appearance. i used a quality interior paint and did like 10 coats of red and it turned out good but its a shade too bright to match my new door panels. i need to darken it down some. and those wheels are rota sa racing wheels. they are a 4x100 pattern and im gonna have to use adapters. im tired of the same ole same ole that everyone is running and want to be different but stay old school. and for free the diamonds with the yokohama tires were a steal. i love how the backspacing makes them stick out and look aggressive.

i might get rid of them.. but at the same time i wanna keep them to put put sticky rubber on for track days since those 17s will be heavy and mainly for show. i love the way they look but im thinking something a little more modern will look nice as well. ill keep u posted if i decide to get rid of them. they were donated to me so i wouldnt be asking any money or them if i get rid of them...

Well the brakes were completely gone and master cylinder was blown. Ran like crap cuz of some bad vacuum leaks and just needed a lot of tlc. Its coming around slowly though and I can't complain at all

TLC is what alot of classics need to make them back into ravenous beasts or showroom gems some times and atleast, even if it is slow (hey mine is too), your working on it and it isn't sitting on you yard gathering moss and being a home for mice, there is a saying or two in my house "Oldschool is cool" and "Don't crush um save um and restore or customize". If the folks like us don't save the classics we may not have any left after all.
