Well, I had it for this past summer and I needed the A/C mostly because of the rainy/hot/humid evenings we get here in the summer. I probably won't remove it.. just been thinking about it.

Yeah, I love the 78-80 Rx7's. My first Rx7 was my Dad's first Rx7.

I wasn't really planning on changing the exterior other than the Eibach springs but would swapping in a carbed 13b be too un-original? I would just rebuild my current 12a but that would leave me w/o a car for a few weeks.

Nice SA. I'm planning on getting an SA/FB myself, and I have pondered the same question. Keep the 12A or switch to a carbed 13B. If the 12A can be rebuilt or is in good condition I'd keep it. If it isn't I'd switch, 13B engines are really easy to get ahold of and so are replacement parts, which is why I'd get one over the 12a which are notorious for being hard to get replacement housings/irons/rotors/etc, also a bit more powerful. Only thing is, is that I don't know what would be involved in swapping, so research would be needed.

My choice in a carbed 13b would be to use a Weber DCOE 45 with stock ports and upgraded exhaust.

Thanks! There isn't really anything wrong with my 12a other than the small leaks and some smoke out the tail pipe. I would just rebuild the motor I have but I can't have that much down time. Like you said.. the 13b just seems to be a better option, both power and availability wise. Don't know if I'd stay stock ports though, I probably couldn't keep my dremmel away while building the motor lol.

I should have a set of NEW Eibach Pro Kit springs in the mail to me by Monday! If they're anything like the Pro Kit springs I had on my Protege I'll love them, I can't wait..

Oh, and taking her out to a meet on Sunday so there will be more pics than you care to look at I'm sure :P

^Thanks, I plan on keeping the original look on the exterior (which is why I fixed up the Almex wheels instead of going aftermarket) but I still wanna do some work under the hood.. I'll just keep the hood closed

If your bored, go clean the engine bay or something, old cars are always in need of some kind of cleaning, or may take out the seats and remove the carpet and clean that.

I was also looking for a GSL or GSL-SE while shopping around but this one was too clean and I didn't really think anything much better would come by for the price. I just wish I could sell my stupid automatic Protege lol.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure most of the interior is from an '84 and the headliner was custom wrapped. It is really nice though
