Thanks Kameron! ^
Well, I was going to update with some pictures of the SSR wheels refinished, but it looks like photobucket is no longer hosting 3rd party. All my pictures from this thread are gone unless I pay $399 a year. Looks like I might let this thread die and start a new one. Should've just uploaded images straight to the site.

The SSR Formula Mesh wheels have been reassembled and sealed. The wheel faces were powdercoated in heavy silver with clear coat ( metallic silver), barrels were done in Porsche silver and the hardware was done in satin black. Hope to have tires on Monday and on the car!
Will post full car pictures once they're on..

Haha good one!
Thank you! Those aren't mine. Just some other tires at the shop. We don't really have bad winters here lol
Thanks! They definitely match the car and the 80s era!
So, I got the tires mounted, balanced and installed on the car! Went and got some pictures of them. I think they look great! The tires poke a little more than I would've liked beyond the fenders, but I'm pleased with the look.
Wheels:
SSR Formula Mesh
16x7 +31
16x9 +31
Tires:
Bridgestone Potenza RE11
205/45/16
245/45/16

Oops! Double post. That's all for now! We'll see what's next. I would like to get the other wheels sold and get a clear bra installed to protect the paint.
Thanks for looking!

Hell yea, dude! Glad you can get everything back.
I just started fixing up my entire thread with updates and it's going to really show what I've been holding back.
550whp on e85, reliably.
Beautiful work getting that stance the way you did. Proper #GentlemenStance.
I wish those rears were about a +50 offset, but otherwise.
I'm looking at my car with like 2" of extra room on the inside of my tires (turns into about 9/16" at full articulation/flex) and wishing I had gone 245/40-17 right off the bat on a 17x9 +55. Oh well.
Your windshield REALLY brought the car together nicely. I can't believe that was a "factory replacement" tint. It looks killer.

That sounds like a blast! I'll make sure to take a look at your thread again! I do get the itch for more horsepower lol
I'm very happy with the wheels! I do think a +36 offset on the rear wheels would've been better for my car than the +31. I had to raise the car a half inch all around. The rear was just rubbing on some dips. My 9.5" +29 CCW rears fit just a bit better than these. Since the tires are the same size and the 9" SSR wheels are a smaller width my rear tire is just a touch more "meaty."
I'm definitely pleased with the windshield. Thanks for noticing!
I'll be sure to post up once that happens.

It's been awhile since I've updated and a lot has happened! I ended up getting a clear bra on the front clip of the car. At the same time I had the shop install 80% window tint on all the glass including the windshield. What a difference in cooling and protection! I no longer worry about the paint on the front of the car. Extremely pleased with the outcome and it is hardly noticeable. Right after I got that done my wife and I drove down to Long Beach, CA to attend Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS). That was an amazing show and it was our first time there. I happened to place 2nd Best RX-7! After we got back in town my friend got some amazing photos of my car I think everyone will enjoy. He goes by TerrynKleverMedia if you want to see some of his other work. Big thanks to him for the photoshoot.

I do have an update though!
My wife and I drove down to socal for Sevenstock 20 and I was awarded Best 1st Gen for the 2nd time at the show! I was pleasantly surprised and not expecting anything, but a good time. Was glad to see everyone and catch up.
It's been an eventful year for the car. We'll see what 2018 brings. Happy holidays everyone

I didn't want to create another login account just to have it possibly in a calendar. I have too many login/passwords to remember lol. Thank you for the kind words!

I appreciate the kind words!
Not much has changed with the car. Rotorcon 2018 took place yesterday and although I didn't enter the competition I showed up in support and to see friends/other cars.
Here was my car at the local booth after a fresh wash and wax. Was good to get it out. Just been enjoying the 7 these days.

Thank you ^ 😊
Well, a lot has happened the last few months. I took the car down to JCCS on September 15th and placed 2nd again for the Rx7 class! That was great and I had a good time!
I then decided to get the car re-tuned while in socal to try and fix a hiccup I was experiencing while cruising at lower speeds. We decided to do a whole new fuel map and up the boost to 15psi which I knew was pushing the limits. Tune was great and the car was driving excellent all around for a couple hours. Drove 3 hours back to Vegas with no issues. Took the car out the next day and cracked the rear iron just beneath the oil pedestal on a 3rd gear pull at full throttle. Engine not pinned or full doweled on 91 pump gas was probably too much for it..
Now the decision of what to do is still the question months later. I've narrowed it down to 4 choices for now on the rebuild lol. My desired choices in order are..
1: 20b N/A with ITBs
2: FD engine with EFR Borgwarner/Turblown setup
3: Rebuild engine with new rear iron/stud/pinned and reinstall/re-tune
4: 13b Weber 48IDA
Either way the cars going to sit for awhile. I'll probably have the engine bay repainted as the turbo got hot and baked some of the paint on the passenger side. I'll clean up some other things and powder coat some more parts like the subframe. Hopefully do a wire tuck this time and make the car cleaner this next time around in the engine bay.
Until the next update.. I'll probably still be wondering what I'm going to do lol. We'll see what 2019 brings!
