thanks lol the car is down right now, it over pressurized the oil system and blew and oil control ring. For some stupid reason i put 5 quarts of oil on the brand new engine i built for it, but its alright its just a sign to open it back up and port it to get the most of the hybrid i just bought

Took the engine apart and all the bearings spun on the engine my oil pressure gauge wasnt working but i think i had low oil pressure and starved it from oil oil pump was new the pick up had a new gasket dont know what happened but im guessing the oil filter collapsed. Already ordered a new mechanical gauge

thinking about just a street port with the hybrid a megasquirt with 4 720 cc injectors and a front mount

 

The set up was good til it spun the bearing

 

Ive been slaking on my threads lol but i rebuilt the car a week later after it broke it has atkins apex seals, atkins solid corner seals new bearings and stationary gears. has around 6k on the new engine running 12 psi pretty much takes off like a raped bear. to this day it nobody ive raced has been able to beat it ran an 05 m3 and pulled multiple cars on it also an mr2 running 17 psi out of the line lol. Ive been polishing the wheels and put new tires on it this week and im going to take my TII Miata, the FB and the FD to take some rolling shots.

 

BTW were engaged now! lol shes building a REW swapped fc as we speak by herself she wont even let me work on it haha. All she wants me to do on it is the body work and the wiring for the power fc

It's a sad day for rotary's today around noon a 74 yr old driver on a chevy silverado crossed and intersection without looking and i tboned him on the first gen the car is totaled but luckly i wasnt hurt. Engine wasnt damaged wheels werent damaged , but the hole front end is done hood fenders, the flares, the radiator is 1/4 inch from the engine has bad frame damage. Already looking for another first gen to swap the engine and wheels and its coming back even better than before.

 

Wow, sorry to hear but at least u are ok. Like u said, u can replace the car.

 

Got my check from the insurance now to find a decent shell and do it even better this time

 

Sounds like me & my lady!!! She made me give up my '87 sport so she could drive it daily-- helps w/ all the engine swaps/junkyard teardowns, etc. Congrats man!

Been kinda busy these past months I bought a shell it was in pretty decent condition swapped everything over and fixed the flares. car basically looks the same as before lol. Only difference is that now it has RA apex seals, race port, garrett 60 trim, 850cc secondarys, lsd, and after a year it broke a transmission.

Also been working on my fc and fd fc has street port bnr stage 2 and 1600cc injectors and my fd has a j port and 1600cc injectors with a hx55 holset

 

And to top it off my fiances car that shes been working on, FC sport model with an rew swap half bridge running on a power fc ecu 550 1200cc single turbo






and been dealing with other swaps and cars that im working on that are owned between my brother my dad and me


the list is 5 FD's, 1 TII miata, 3 FC's, 4 fb's including a right hand drive savana im swapping a turbo engine in, and 2 rx8's

 

Im pretty lucky that she helps me out all the time because if she was a different type of girl she would have left me already lol. been rebuilding rx8, fc , and fd engines like crazy and she always wants to be there and help me put the rotors together lol
