Time Attack FD build with RE- Amemiya RE-GT kit New Zealand Styles!

Time Attack FD build with RE- Amemiya RE-GT kit

First up I have found a shell that im going to buy for $800, it used to have a 4 rotor in it but they kind of butchered the firewall.... So i will need to fix that as well as re-fit the radiator support panel which will come off the front cut i was given..

So first up is picking up the shell and taking it to the panel beaters to have the new front end parts grafted on from the donor front end. Then it will be back home to strip for the roll cage and start on the wiring. I plan to make a rotisserie so its easy to work on the car as i plan to paint not only the outside shell but the inside and underside of the car in a paint scheme that im probably going to keep pretty close to my chest until its closer to being finished but im sure you will get the idea along the way

Im aiming for 500-600RWHP with 13B Bridgeport Turbo. Currently I have a street FD with 410RWHP, large extend port though.

Anyway enough of my dribble for now, here is a pic of my front cut on my Moto x trailer and the shell thats sitting up on the container waiting for me to come get it.... I should be sorted in a couple of weeks. oh and the RE-Amemiya kit ooh yeah!

Ha ha, us kiwis have got a pretty good name for building and racing cars... i will get more pics the next time i go down as i need to negotiate what comes with the car so i can show you the firewall but no pics with the quad in it sadly.... the guy that initially did it is pretty well known as a butcher with out saying any names "cough, street systems, cough"............

No do tell, it will add to the other hundreds of stories people have to tell about him.....

For those that don't know this guy Wayne, Stay away!! He will do more damage to your motor/car than good. People go to him cause he's cheap and that's exactly what you get plus you will have to spend double to get the work he has done fixed...

i had my 13bpp done by him it was cheap so i had it done it took about 5 months for him to build it, went out to sea for 8 weeks came back it was there i was all happy etc etc
thats just when rotahavik came back online and what do you know about a 10 page long thread on wayne and street systems about how **** they are..
i was so ffff'ed off so a started a thread on kiwi rotary about him and it turns out afew people have has engines from him that have lasted the norm
so i sent it to a mate in chch to get him to open it up and go over it, it was fine witch amazed me alot
that was 3 years ago and i got the pp manifold middle of last year so it took him a year and a half to make a pp manifold lol
my engine has sat since then im my fc dont have the funds to get it going but do what i can aford here and there i turn it over with marine crc evey so often, it will be fine lol
if i where to do it again i would have gone with greenbros who only quoted me about 2g more than street systems

Yup you sure are right there!! Only 2-3 other cars with this kit I know of here in NZ, now to sell off my genuine wide body D-Max rear guards among the other spares I won't be needing anymore to make space for ummm more parts!

Ha ha yeah, there are prob alot more FD's here in NZ though but i could be wrong..... I know of a few places with between 5-10 FD's at any one time being wrecked, parts are a plenty!

Why not RX7 Heaven? Tony has been around for over 20 years, held the fastest Rotary (drag car) in NZ for several seasons and is also the only one (here in NZ at least) to have successfully made real, tried and tested unbreakable apex seals not to mention his standard of work is pretty damn high I mean just look at the countless show cars that have been built by his workshop. Im not putting down green bros because i have not used them but if i want quality work and a long lasting engine that makes really good power, i know where i would be going...
