Rosta's 93 Touring Build/Maintenance thread

Recently got into the rotary game. I bought this 93 from allrotor93. I had been wanting a RWD sports car for quite some time. Went back and forth between a ton of cars, mainly between the RX7 and a BMW M3(E46) but ended up getting a RX7. Got the car as a fun weekend car, and boy is it fun.

The paint on the body is in great shape for its age, the bumpers are definitely showing their age.

My plans for the car:

Immediate:
Pettit racing thermostat
Pettit racing Fan switch
Pettit racing AST
New Head unit
Replace shift boot and shift ****
Replace front Mazda emblem

Down the road:
99 spec front end
Fresh paint
Nardi steering wheel
BBS rims
Upgraded radiator
Upgraded intercooler
Power FC

So far all I have done is ripped out the wiring for the sub/amp that was in the car and replaced the head unit

Only picture for now:

First mod, a must have for any RX7! Yes I know I have to either modify the bin for the battery to fit, or get a smaller battery.

The family. 3 cars, 4 turbos.

Have a few mods planned for the near future so stay tuned.

Finally got a front emblem after one not fitting and one getting lost in shipping.

Also got my plates in.

Got about $700 worth of parts coming in this week for her so it should be a good week.

Found these locally for a steal. Think they'll look good in gun metal or possibly bronze. Definitely need some wider tires and possibly taller but these'll do for now.

Will get better pictures, it was raining out today though.

I have a question!!

In the close up photo of your new CD player, I can see the button for the recirculating/fresh air to the cabin.
That thing is VASTLY different to what JDM cars have.

Do all USDM RX7s have a recirculating button like that?

Very nice stock car by the way- it will shine up nicely

And yes, Ovlovs are weird. Not just their 5 cylinder stuff. They are just odd in general, and maybe not in a good way :p
