Got some work done, Prepping the installation for HFS6 w/ Summers for the FD.

Here showed the actuator inside engine bay where the water injector connects to. (Picture of the unit standing because I have to turn it side ways to install the hose)

This picture shows where the hose from the injecting unit is routed through fender well

This picture shows the hose from fender well to a opening at the side of the frame

Hose from outside towards inside of driver compartment

Hose coming through from outside hole next to the fuse box

Hose routed/tucked underneath the carpet

this is where the pump will sit

The tool kit holder that was hacked up by me as a "bracket" for the AI water pump

Ai water pump secured onto the "bracket"

Ai water pump installed in the back where the tool kit used to be

That's it for now, thanks for looking!

Received my GM single fan from Jegs

Fan as it sits:

Another angle showing where the line is routed:

Here is where it ended up. I plugged it into Fan #2 connector (Yellow wire is Batt+, Black wire is GND).

My submersible fuel hoses finally came in, part # is H209 5/16" x 1' length from Napa.

Submersible fuel hoses installed onto my CJ-Motorsports Dual Walbor 255 fuel pump assembly:

Here my fuel distribution block. Merging the twin pump supply connection into one.

Still waiting on the "installation kit" to arrive for one of the fuel pump.

That's it for today folks!

I would recommend not using that hose for your AI system. If you are going to run it through the car and make it hard to get to (i.e. hard to fix if it breaks), So if you're going to burry it, I'd switch to a -4 AN braided line. Plus I've seen those types of puch in fittings leak on more than one occasion.

I'm not sure if it's temporary or not, but I'd also recommend not using the push-through zip ties to hold on the fan, especially with a V-Mount setup because all of the fan's weight will be hanging off of the radiator's tubes.

I'm actually using the same fan and had a custom mounting bracket fabricated to hold it on.

So the supplied clear lines are no good? I am not sure if the -4an would even fit on the connection. It seem smaller than that. I'll look into it.

Mind sharing how the bracket was done? If you can take a picture of it, it'll be greatly appreciated.

I believe the supplied lines are 1/4" tube which is the same inside diamater as -4AN. I think the pump has 1/8" or 3/8" NPT ports on it and you already have push fit adapters installed. You can take those out and install 1/8" or 3/8" to -4AN adapters instead. Then run the -4AN line to the engine bay. Then you can keep everything -4AN or switch to the push in tube.

I'm not going to say the tube isn't any good, as it is widely used. I just know that I've seen them leak unexpectedly (even when installed properly). Braided hose and AN fittings is just much more robust giving piece of mind. Plus, since your line will be burried behind the interior panels if something does go wrong, its much more of a chore to fix. AN isn't going to get damaged as easily, so you won't have to worry about it.

Companies like Devil's Own, make injection nozzles that come with -4AN adapters, so you don't have to have any push fittings at all if you don't want them.

Here's a picture of the bracket, you could call Defined and they should be able to cook up something similar.

I first mounted the fan to the bracket via M5 hardware. The bracket has pegs at the bottom and bolts to the 2 bungs at the top, just like how the stock dual fans would attach to the Koyo.

I removed the line and checked, I believe it is 3/8 NPT. I can get a -4AN to 3/8NPT and go from there, thanks for the advice!

I will send Define Auto a message =).

Thank you all for the valuable advice. I only want to do this once.

Yo Kevin. Good to hear that you're making progress!

Anyways, a few more things to fix/upgrade then off it goes to the exhaust shop to have a high-flow cat + resonator weld in.

Then back to the bodyshop and get the "finishing touch" done.

However, still need to get it registered and all. Too little time, too little money! LOL Money pit it still is!

Talking

Did some wrenching on the FD today while the shop was slow. However I was feeling somewhat under the weather therefore I did not take too many pictures.

Here is Hyperion's fuel surge tank cover Front view - I altered it to fit a Dual Walbro 255 fuel pump assembly (front view)

Plastic rubber side of the fuel surge tank cover

Here is how it looks when installed. Very well thought out design. Props to Hyperion for coming up with such mod. Love it!

Since I was feeling a little sick, I've forgotten to snap some shot of the OE fuel wiring that I re-wrapped with 10 gauge wire. I used the Brent's wiring to perform this task. Here is a shot of the finished wiring and relay:

Brent's fuel pump re-wire wiring diagram:

Thanks for looking. That's it for today.
