Update..

For the past year, I been looking into getting a dash unit for track use. Mainly to monitor various sensors such as: Oil temp, Oil pressure, Water Temp, Fuel pressure, Boost, EGT, etc.. as you can imagine, this will clutter the cockpit with bunch of gauges and problem placing them all.

Also, pending what ecu you run some dash unit will not work. So, after searching.. came up with an idea.

Those of you whos been following this thread, I was lucky enough to acquire a Defi Super Sport Cluster. Super rare dash replacement that you can tie into your OE car harness and Defi sensors to replace your OE cluster.

Well, Defi recently came out with something interesting.

SMART ADAPTER W Summary | Defi - Exciting products by NS Japan

A device you can hook up to your 2008+ OBD II port and stream real time info to your smart phone or tablet. Better yet, you can use their Advance Control unit and also stream Defi sensor(s) reading to your iOS devices!!

So.. I decided to give it a shot!

bought an iPad mini, and downloaded the app called "Defi Meter C".
App looks like this.

My friend at EVOR sold me a Carbon blank cluster surround, which I used it to mount the iPad mini.Name: 55D4D09B-565D-4A26-91DF-CDE39069C0C6_zpsy7dccrl8.jpg

And installed it in the car..

I'm still in a testing phase but so far i like it. simple and very easily programable and pick and choose what I prefer to watch and which gauge location.

I recently signed up for an online battle where top two finalists get to set their cars to SEMA Las Vegas. I am currently in battle round from top 16 to top 8..

To vote for me,

click on the link Philip Sohn - PASMAG Tuner Battlegrounds
click on the blue facebook button
click on the yellow star to vote.

If you can vote for me every day, I would greatly appreciate it. And if you can share the links with other rotorheads, thats even better!!

This Competition is all about the communities and without your support no way I'll be going to SEMA. So, please help me get this 22+ year old car to SEMA.

Also you can friend me on my facebook for updates!
My Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/Herblenny

Thank you for your support!

That Defi system looks great. Just confirming, there's no way it can pull info like water temp and boost from the factory sensors (either with PFC or Adaptronic)?

I guess it must read some factory signals, otherwise how would you see RPM and MPH.

Haha. If a TSX beats you then it's not something worth participating in. The fact that a TSX is in the top 8 is hilarious and/or sad

Still loving the Defi/iPad combo!!

I'm also upgrading my turbo set up with new Borg Warner EFR Turbo set up using Turblown's cast stainless manifold.

Quality of this manifold is just top notch!!

I've mocked it up on my spare engine to see how it all lines up.

I'm going to update this thread more often since new projects are at works this year. Including my 3 Rotor Project..
