There are many options... like the HKS dogmission or sequential transmissions. They are cost more than the car though.
Pretty much any racing box with the right bellhousing and output shaft will work. Assuming the shifter position is in the right place.

Chud- Have you talked to Mike yet? or still just frank?! i'm telling you.. you gotta get a hold of mike. I have his phone number if you need it.
Fdmuri- You NEED an aux injection kit. Water/Meth will save your motor
The transmission is in excellent condition, Had the 5th gear synchro fixed already and shifts tight and smooth everytime. Plus I plan on eventually doing the T56 Swap Mr. Coleman pioneered within the next couple years anyways so I left it alone![Icon Tup](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/icon_tup.gif)
There are a few different options...like the HKS trans, and I believe there is one other big comp that makes one specifically for the Fd. But Higher power levels? define "Higher," because I plan on 460-480 to the wheels and a lot of guys out there are running stock fd trannies with right around 5ish to the wheels. Not to say it'll last forever and it all depends on how you drive your car. But I'm not planning on taking it easy.. so i'll let you know when the car gets running![Nod](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/nod.gif)
The guys done a lot for this community

Yea I used my wire wheel with the grinder. But it would heat up and do this weird spiderweb fling. It got everywhere. I was going to try a torch and just burn it off. But ran out of propane.

All the welding added a lot of weight to the PPF but weight in the right places is just fine with me..

Update!!!:
Not a huge one.. just some man hours..
As most of you guys know.. ligning up the Transmission and PPF (Power Plant Frame) can be slightly tricky by yourself. But me being me... decided it would be a great adventure. I have one floor jack and a stock 94 Acura Integra twist jack
and then I used my furniture dolly so I could get the transmission in the right position. The car is sitting about 24 inches off the ground so there is a considerable amount of room for me to maneuver around under there.. but let me just say that it took me about 3 hours to get everything bolted up etc.
At one point I had the Transmission balancing on the 1 1/2 in head of the twist jack..that was on top of a brick.. that was on the dolly just so I had maneuverability to alighn everything
. Not the safest method..but I like to think of myself as maguyver when it comes to getting things done without the right tools. Anyways..Pics time!!

Update:
Last night I spent some time Tightening down everything under the car. Driveshaft/Diff bolts, PPF/Trans & PPF Diff Bolts with the impact. A couple tranny tunnel braces. I keep thinking that I should go over everything to make sure I havn't forgotten to tighten anything.
While I was under the car I closed my eyes and was taking a rest and then out of who knows why..decided to turn the driveshaft. I turned it a half rotation and all the sudden It Stopped.. Metal on metal sound... I Was like.. What the hell?! So I was looking and found the problem. One of the knuckles on the U-joint to shaft on the transmission/drifeshaft side was hitting the PPF where It was welded. The weld only stuck out MAYBE a fraction of a MM over stock.. So I decided that I would take my grider wheel to it and shave off the hair of it that was hitting. But then my wheels started turning in my brain and I didn't think it was okay to shave off something on one side and not the other. So I did the same thing to the opposite side thinking that if it were to affect the balance of the Drive-shaft.. it would help to take a lil bit off the opposing side. The amount I took off was so minimal i'm really not too worried about it..but I figured I'd post my encountering just incase it helps someone when modding their PPF. Don't go overboard and do some thick welds on your ppf.. it could cause clearance problems. Keep it nice simple and clean. I also removed my rear bins in prep to relocate my relays and fuse boxes. Thats it for now.

When It came down to it.. I didn't want to un-install everything again. It was such a pain in the *** to do it on my own.. I guess that's just an excuse. I was lazy?
But you know what.. it was such a small amount that I hardly think it'll make a difference.

Update:
I pulled out my engine wiring harness last night.. and let me tell you. Finding out all all the short-cuts people take..that could potentially ruin everything is one of the reasons i'm rebuilding the entire car. The wiring harness is a hack job. Whoever did the single conversion cut all unnecessary plugs but then just wrapped the open wires all together. I'm no wiring guru..but I know that it's not okay. Check it out:
Wiring harness...
![](http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy325/mannykiller/FD%20Build/IMG_20110810_182734.jpg)
This is what I was talking about how whoever did the harness just left open wires and electrical taped over them..

![](http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy325/mannykiller/FD%20Build/IMG_20110810_182743.jpg)
and this is where I am currently
![](http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy325/mannykiller/FD%20Build/IMG_20110811_092755.jpg)
Basically what im doing is removing everything that wasn't used in the harness.. completely. Despite how it looks.. the car ran great with it. So hopefully when I'm done deleting all un-used things..it'll work just as well.
I have a question though.. If something isn't used.. should I pull the wire and pin out...or should I leave a little bit and cap it incase I need the wire later on?

wow,, someone was pretty lazy...
when i acquired a brand new harness a few months ago i decided not only to remove the un-needed wires from the engine compartment side but to totally remove them from the harness. i found that they are glued together where they go thru the firewall and i decided i didn't want to get into the bonding material.
"should I pull the wire and pin out...or should I leave a little bit and cap it"
just cut them at staggered lengths and cap them.
