Kilo Racing 3 Rotor FD Conversion

Whatever you do Rich, make sure it is a fully enclosed transport, with FULL REPLACEMENT COVERAGE. Those that deal with concours quality cars are the best.
I personally like PassPort, who transported three of my cars from California to Florida, when I was re-located.

David...just wow. I'm real sorry for the 1001 minor inconveniences and mishaps, but it's soooo close now... I hope you finally get her VERY soon!

^Thanks Ramy. It'll be soon I hope. Horseless Carriage is very good but about double of what Emerald charges. Since I've had several good experiences with Emerald (you know how much my car has moved from shop to shop over the last few years), I'll stick with them.

And this is why, if I have to do a motor swap in the FD, it'll be getting an LS1/2/6 motor.... Yikes!
Glad things are finally coming to a close David. Man your patience is Godly. Must see some inside camera action of you chasing down some Twin Turbo Vipers with that beast.

LS1 isn't that much easier if you get involved with the wrong people/shops. Fabrication or custom conversions can be a pita if you have the wrong people involved or just plain encounter other challenges.
David is definitely a patient man with a wonderfully unique car. I hope to someday see this car in person someday.

ok...so i step away from the scene for a couple years only to find out that you sir have picked up where I left off and are proudly carrying the patience torch for all to see.
Sadly, for me, my journey ended when I moved to San Francisco *at the same time my car was finished* and had no where to stretch her legs...so alas I let her go to Virginia where another driver got to enjoy the fruits of my labors and cash.
I read the whole thread...an absolutely insane story of which I identify well with. (Those that were around back when I went through my xs engineering and numerous other shop debaucles will know the truth to that). Anyway. it is a pleasure to see that you are close...perhaps some fate has kept it out of your hands...but as it gets back, it will never ever be sweeter.
Kudos to being respectful when I would have blown my stack and smeared the offending shops all to hell. You are a better man than I.

Sadly after years of going through exactly what this guy has gone through (granted I did get at least 12 months of street racing madness in there), I got her all done and got stuck in SF...but have been in Shanghai the past three months. Glad to see you are still at it. You guys are die hards around here. I am headed to Thailand for a while so I doubt I will be getting another fd for some time. Hopefully Mr. Patience will see her all done and lasting a long long time. Enjoy em guys! I miss mine like crazy...like tear in the eye crazy.

Having said that, with her picture on the web, I'm sure she's is getting more attention than she wants. I wouldn't take it personal.
