Wow... impressive Logan! Just as a sidebar, here's a link to pics and descriptions from last weekend's races at Mazda Raceway in Laguna Seca. Four 4-rotor cars on the track. Impressive!!

Here's a quote from one of the images "Like Robert, Weldon assists where necessary, but the 1992 Mazda RX-792P is his weapon of choice. It's also the most powerful of the bunch, with about 700 hp on tap from its four-rotor Mazda R26B engine." Very cool!!! Can't wait for Sevenstock on November 9th!

I love the rx 792p. The 787 is the 787, but the 792p sounds deeper and love the body lines. We will be attending 7 stock with the 4 rotor :-)

I was at Laguna, and I've got some videos of track-speed fly bys during the big race with all the rotary lemans cars in it. I'll get around to posting it up soon.

Can't wait to see more progress on this ride.

Yep. We will have it transported, Gordon is going to use the same transporter so they can ride over together. IDK if Lenny would want to go too, if so maybe we can transport all three cars. Three black FD's, that would be pretty crazy.

If mine would be done by that time, I'd most likely be down dependent on cost of transport.

Some break-in miles at the track. Only went to 7200 at the end of day. Which sucked big time! Even just fooling around it was at 7k in 4th gear before halfway down the straight. The other half was just cruising. Oh well still fun Still rich at part throttle. Hence the little smoke on throttle transitions.

It will be. Its been a long horrible wait but its going to happen with plenty of time for break-in, tuning, dial-in etc. I believe its around $1300 each way. Maybe if we do three cars there will be a nice discount...

Question: It's irrelevant now since it's been covered, but why was the passenger side shock tower cut out at the beginning of the build? Was that meant to be an intake port of some sort?

Such a sick build!

You are the first one that noticed that haha. It is actually clearance for the telescoping intake. I didnt want to compromise the intake at all, so made the chassis fit around it. Kept it as straight as possible for being in a Rx7 at least!

Not to sound a smart *** but it was kinda obvious what It was cut for once we saw the length of the intake.

I can't believe I missed this until now. Looking forward to seeing the progress you'll make by intake and exhaust tuning this beast. That was my favourite part of following the semi-pp 20b project, the progression.

Tim I think he's getting closer. You see how that thing is reving? Sounds to me he's damn near got it dialed in. Hell I wouldn't doubt if he gives us a nice Christmas or New Years gift.

It is ready for real dyno tuning at this point. Its mostly broken in. Downside is the weather we have, and I'm not going to open trailer it through snow to get on the dyno. Might be closer to end of Jan/ feb.
