CALI Grown E85 Street Car: Project BLACKADDE

Being in California where it get's preety hot I would paint it white, if you paint it a dark color your car will just absorb the heat and it will be like an oven in there. Now if you go white it will reflect the heat and be not so hot in there...My.02 cents.

SupaStarBruce has the purple FD locked down already in SoCal.
That black isn't really black, but it sure is nice.
White is where it's at if you want to play it safe, I just hope that's not the case.
Go wild man, let the outside reflect the inside.

IMO If ur gonna go white.... Go the TVR Pearl White with the blue hue. It comes on the speed six and the speed 12's. Cant remember the exact color. The name doesnt have white in it at all i think tho. Its like opel frost or something. Its in the GT3 game.

imstillonjava(carol) has her purple fd down here too...
but every one has a diff looking fd... honestly go with your gut feeling on this one...
I do love the blackish purple though or white

It's awesome following this build. Besides noticing that there are some other BMW guys on here (my M5 is my DD), it's nice to see a from-the-ground-up build.
Could you go into more detail about how you prepped the chassis -- I imagine putting mine on a rotisserie and media-blasting it inside and out!
I'm going to build an FD touring chassis to transplant my FB setup someday...after my house is done and my girlfriend has the ring she's been wanting...
Keep the updates coming!

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I only posted this build thread on here because we all share a common interest; love for all things rotary & FD's!!!!
Dysfnctnl85, thank you for your praise. She did go onto a rotisserie when she got blasted. I'm waiting for some special rustproof paint to come in for the undercarriage & some sound-deadening paint for the interior, and then she'll be back on the rotisserie. I'll have a whole post on that step once its finished.
A big THANK YOU to A-Spec Tuning ( Sean & Ryan ) for all their help, and excellent customer service. I was on the phone with sean for at least 1 hour every time I called, just bullshitting about life and rotaries. Before actually speaking to him I could have sworn he had 30 employees, only to find out its really just him and 2-3 other guys who aren't even there all the time. Sean really busts his *** to make all these kits for us, and he's the one doing the fab work. We should give him a big thanks, and try to be more patient when waiting on his kits because we're lucky to have him around.
Now, onto the sexyness.... GTX4294R 1.00 A/R

Favian, don't get me excited. lol
Jan, I'd be happy with around 600rwhp. I don't have anything balanced in my motor, nor do I have those fancy ceramic apex seals, so I need to do more research to see what kind of power I can push with what motor work I do have done.

I'd vote for the "balloon white" on that Supra... is that the metallic Toyota white? Toyota has one that is better than most, because the metallic doesn't turn the white off-white (like pearl), it's still bright white.
White FD w/ black wheels is just about perfect IMO. I'd stay away from purple.

@ptrhahn: Its ballon white from a lambo... I'm throwing around some color choices... white on black has been done....but your right, it looks sick
Picked up a '99 528i... got a pretty good deal on it, has a blown head gasket, but the price was right.
I'm going to try and flip it and make some cash. I still have my 325i as well, which is getting a new m3 front bumper.
This pic was taken @ the current owners house. I'll get pics of them together in the driveway with the FD when she gets back from being worked on.
She'll be getting a new waterpump & radiator to go along with the new headgasket to take care of the previous owners overheating issues.
I'll also probably be putting the Style 5 wheels on the 3 series.
