^^ lmao i actually did it with a tooth pick.... i had some spray paint in a cup and dabbed the tooth pick in the paint and dripped it on... because the letters are raised it will prevent the paint from spilling off the letters.. its quiet tedious but since the letters are raised it make it kind of easy..

if u paint it gold first then paint it black and wipe it off..
if the black is wet, it will smudge
if the black is dry and u use thinners, it will eat the gold off as well

id recomend a fine brush and do it very carefully.... my calipers were also off when i did it so it made it easier...

thanks, i love comments from the down under!

Soo a little update. pretty much just all planning.

as of right now im prepping for the winter. im currently cleaning out my garage, gonna epoxy the floor, build shelves for storage, shelves specific for bumpers, and wheels (trying not to have parts in the living room this year!) then a nice work bench and hopefully AMPLE room to work!

First up on the list is strip the interior down and remove all the ABS and Airbag wires. then on to the wire tuck/fuse box relocations.. this way i can test my wiring still works and all..

some of this winters plans... (no specific order)
rebuild motor, hbp again (THANK GOD, stock ports blowww)
cut off air pump bracket... idea stolen from "jerome"
shave the engine bay
make covers for "abs side" and "brake booster" side
dual oil coolers
convert gauge to white
sub box
redo the rear (get rid of bins to make custom compartment)
debating on cf sheet door panels and ditching the door panels
powder coat windshield wipers
paint cowl trim
tow hook
change steering wheel

HOPEFULLY get a welder and be able to weld decent enough..
pending welding skills..
v mount
diff brace
tranny brace
exhaust system... 4" to 2 2.5" or 3" (one with a door switch?) back to 4" with magnaflow resonator (oval not round this time! lol)
quick release front bumper (99 spec)
quick release hood (same scoote hood)

just some stuff dont know if ill get it all done...

also polishing all the bolts... figured out how to get them to really shine this time! keep an eye out for my bolts 101 thread!

Need some opinions...

im going to redo my engine bay.. still keeping the pink scheme. everything pink will stay pink, engine bay will be resprayed black, turbo its going to be white...

What color do you guys think i should paint the motor? im contemplating black or a polish/chrome look.... im scared a black engine may make the pink stuff pop too much and the engine might get lost...

if i go chrome-ish im wondering if that would take away from the pink...... any suggestions? this excludes wise-*** Charlie.

IMO don't go black, makes it really hard to find cracks and leaks. I want to paint my motor black but this is what's keeping it from happening.

I said this in the other thread you posted the engine bay picture in, but I love the way the pink pops from the black, in the correct proportions too.

Paint your EZ pass pink. Black filler neck. I think anything chromed would take away from the look.

Much love over here on the other side of the pond man!

Dude, go black with the block - stripe it satin and gloss Satin black engine parts look minty fresh, and you run the risk of too many different colours and it losing the 'theme'.

My bay is most white and satin black, with some purple highlights, but the bits of silver from polished pipes, cooler etc really grind my gears, as they just stick out like a sore thumb.

Join me in my fight against polished bays - it's so tired

o0o0o i love the purple pops really well! haha i know what u mean about that gay red FPR i sprayed mine black for temperary... lol

interesting with the front white cover... i was thinking about that today...

i know what you mean about the silver =/

the only thing with the engine bay being white and your engine being black it falls in deep.. idk what that means lol... the bay feels light and airy and the engine feels heavy... kinda what im trying to avoid.. i dont wanna "lose" my engine with all my black... i was thinking of what u said maybe satin engine gloss bay or vice versa...

and mr andy sun, no with the chrome!!!

Yeah, it does make the block look smaller, but that's sort of what I'm after - I like the 'lots of bay, not much stuff' look

The IC is custom - it's a generic core that people will rag on all day with some relocated outlets I wanted the cleanest looking setup I could get.

SIH-snazzyy, i ask because im planning on the same thing.. debating if i should reuse my greddy fmic or get an ebay one... im with you with the generic one, dont think it makes a difference..

i think the new scheme is
gloss black engine bay
matte black engine parts
pink accents

i think this should make the engine bay pop like it actually exist, then the matte black will kind of drain the center (engine) but then the pink should make it pop, thus equally balance the look while enhancing the pink

small update, inspection today! i think haha

Hells yeah man, that'll work.
What about wrinkle black and pink? Or crackle black with pink undercoat, to pick out hte pink on the other parts?
