That curve is wrong....will post corrected when we get a chance. Engine makes about 390 @20psi. HP is not our concern for autoX, we want the steep/early torque curve.
Also still interested to see this!
This is what I managed in my FC with EFR7670 on an old HKS T04Z FD manifold modified for dual 44 wastegates.
This is boosting to 26psi and then starts to fade after ~6,000rpm down to 20psi by redline. I don't know if it because I am running 13psi springs in WGs (so I can run pump gas on street) or if the little compressor is out of flow at 6,000rpm.
It doesn't seem close to surge yet at the low rpm, so if I put this on my FD the idea would be to use the stock sequential manifold as a quick spool valve to increase exhaust velocity at low rpm by running through the front turbo housing scroll only.
But... I am tempted by the idea of sequential EFR 7163 mixed flow turbos for the FD for even better low end and more top end.

2015 season starter
Bringing this thread back from the dead.
2014 was not so great for me but looking forward to 2015.
see pictures of new projects.
Turbo swap...........
Brake swap for weight reduction...............
New seat for bling............

The fronts are easy to mount I just made an easy adapter and the rear took a little doing. I had to cut and weld and machine to make the rear fit. The fun stuff.
Also I can not take credit for the brakes. I got the idea from a good friend Andy that runs XP. He is a great source of cutting edge butt kicking ideas.
Rotors frt/rr 160-5841/160-8135
hats frt/rr 170-12575/forgot ( have to machine to make fit correctly)
I am excited to get the turbo on the car and on the Dyno. I plan to take the car as is to the Dyno to get a comparison from the little turbo that could "the Precision turbo". I also stole that idea from Dan with the SSM car. He had really good results swapping over to the BW turbo and I plan to do the same. My set up is the external WG one and Dan's is the internal WG 8374. I am using a short runner manifold vs. Dans long runner one. It will be interesting to see the results on my tired street port engine vs my new ??? port/street port engine and also compare it to Dan's long manifold stock port engine.

2015 Progress
It seems like the years just fly by while building these cars. I thought I would put an update on the progress this year. So far not much has been done but hopefully I will actually finish up some planned projects.
Brake report: ( and race)
The brake performed flawlessly at The SCCA National Championship this year. I placed 6th this year behind some very fast cars and drivers. Congrats to Jake in the RX7 taking the win.
Titanium Exhaust:
I finished up the titanium exhaust. So far I have been pleased with the burns stainless two stage exhaust to couple with the titanium exhaust.
Please see pictures of exhaust. It is made from 3.5" titanium pipe, to get the bends needed I used pie cuts and not mandrel bends. I could not find a good source for any mandrel bends. I was pleased with the pie cuts.
total weight of exhaust is 12#s
Rear mount Radiator:
The rear mount radiator did not work as well as I hoped. It did keep the car cool between runs but I am still having issues with heat during a run. In the Solo Nationals the car stayed cool but I do not think it would make it through a Pro Solo heat with 4 back to back runs. I will have to do some more testing.
Next engine sneak peak:
I have the old tired motor out and will be installing the new one in soon. Here is a sneak peak of what is to come.

Where did you source the 3.5 " titanium pipes for your exhaust? What size Burns Stainless muffler did you go with? Looks like a 6" muffler? I am trying to lighten the car for next season. So, I am looking at the exhaust and a single turbo system.
Also, where did you source the splitter support rods? I am also working on fabricating a front splitter for the car. Thanks. I should see you guys again for next year's Solo Nationals.

I found the Titanium on Amazon through Ticon Industry. You can buy everything you need through them. Just remember that you will have to run a SS down pipe since the Ti is not a good choice for the high temps after the turbo. I am running a 2 stage Burns muffler and the body is 22" long. I am not sure you will need the 2 stage. I only bought the 2 stage for the new motor as it was pretty loud on the dyno last year. I ran Nationals with the second stage removed. If you can not find a fabricator let me know on the Ti exhaust. Also a nice thin wall 321SS will do just fine too.
If you are going single I would PM Chris Ludwig. Also find his last Syvec and BW dyno thread. it is pretty awesome.
For all the Slitter Fab stuff look at all the circle track suppliers. They have many choices. I use Coleman racing and Left Hander chassis all the time. Although I made my support rods from the hardware store I am going to buy some from LH Chassis this winter.
I am looking forward to seeing you next year and watching your car transform.

Carter,
Thanks for the information and I will get with you if I can't find a shop to fabricate the titanium exhaust. I am waiting on my Borg Warner single turbo system from Turbosource/Turblown. I went with the 7670 IWG.

Air/Water Intercooler
Can't wait to get the details. I am so on the fence between Air/Air and Air/Water.
Basically, did you go Air/Water because you able to get below min SSM weight and bulk up to weight with the heavier Air/Water IC system?
The ASP class I am in has no min weight which is why I am leaning toward Air/Air and a really minimalist light weight build in general. But so race car... geh, sweat stains on me race seats and driver fatigue.
But I am looking for an excuse to keep my AC and being able to put one of the heat exchangers in the passenger footwell and chill in the pits with the AC on my feet sure would be luxurious.
Plus I have a laminar flow Air/Water core idea I want to try.

Are you going to use the same mild street ported irons with the Semi PP or going back to stock ports?
The street port seemed like you didn't loose a lot of low end vs what you gained from it.

Yes, I have the same street ported irons. I just installed the Semi P port housings to the same components, the biggest difference will be that I will run E-85 and more boost pressure once I get it on the rollers.
