Welllllll if you want a hookup on a nice used defined autoworks one, let me know. I love mine and randomly came into the option to buy a second kit here recently

Awesome build. Looks like we're basically going through the exact same parts/steps with our cars. I have the sb aem coil kit sitting on my table waiting to be installed. Where in LA are you? I'm on the west side.
What fuel setup are u planning to go with that turbo? I just installed cj rails (liked their fpd setup) and id 1000/1300s. Have you rewired your fuel pump? I'd do that ASAP if not. Lost my previous engine, I think, due to over taxing the stock fuel wiring. Happen right after Daniel tuned my car over at lucky 7 and hit 350hp on my 99 spec turbos. Pretty silly oversight on our part.

How'd you decide on the s362? I'm currently deciding between that and the s257. The 257 has the same size compressor and turbine as the efr 7670. The s362 is more like the efr 8374, better if you plan to go E85 at some point.

If you're interested I'll probably sell my adaptronic pnp soon. Thinking about trading up to the modular.

Thanks

I haven't reside in socal for 7 years now, I was living in West Covina for awhile. As for the fuel, I am deciding between the FFE rail kit with ID 725 primaries /ID 2000 secondaries running a radium inline FPD or CJ motorsport rail with built in FPD with same injectors setup running probably a walbro 450lph pump. For the fuel pump rewiring, I haven't got around to it yet, but eventually I will before all of this is going in.

I'll go in more detail later why I went with S362sxe over GT35R or even 7670efr when I start assembling everything.

I got it way less than $3k, closer to $22XX thanks to the USD to JPY exchange rate being decent + cyber Monday deals.

I like all the things you are doing here. I have looked at those FFE motor mounts myself. That fuel system is perfect. FourtyOunce was just running the exact same set up for fuel as we are and he was hitting around 83% duty cycle at 1.75 bar on pump gas and water meth on an Old A Spec GT3540. You will have plenty of fuel for your needs.

Btw I had the exact same boost issue with my twins on my first FD. It turned out to be a cracked stock plastic Y-pipe. I was doing a single turbo conversion when I realized it. Many cars are converted out of frustration. An Efini Y-pipe would have fixed my issue.

I think GoodfellaFD3S ran that same single turbo that you went with. Maybe he will chime in and speak to how it performs if you havent already seen the sheets.

Fuel rail with the dampener already on it is probably the simplest application. They say it's best to have the dampener closest to the injectors on the rail for best results. I bought my stand alone one from Radium due to it being an afterthought and I already had my rails.

Good luck, car looks great.

Thanks for the advice on the FPD on the rail suggestion, this will make my decision easier lol.

minor update:
swapping exhaust: from HiTech dual tip to a Fujitsubo RM01A

Back in the garage

The dual tip is pretty damn heavy compare to the fujitsubo.

Small little update. I just recently discover the pre spool and wastegate solenoid was connected incorrectly and resolved the boost issue. This will buy me a bit of time to collect more parts for the single conversion.

Will not boost over 5-8psi. Will give you boost pattern 10-5-5 or 10-5-6

Some minor update:

2/11 - Boost Issue resolved - the pre spool and wastegate control solenoid connection was swapped around. - It took me almost two years to realize this Finally able to boost past 8psi and feel a lot less laggy.

2/12 - rewired the fuel pump and installed the miata flying M steering wheel that's been collecting dust for the past year or so.

Time for a retune and will post new dyno #s. Now I can somewhat track my car and gives me more time to hoarde more parts for the single turbo conversion.
