93 RX7 Tesla Swap
#151
Okay... As they say, if at first you're not satisfied, spend more money... I haven't been able to get the Openinverter setup to be reliable. This could be me not investing enough time in it but I'm concerned about damaging the Tesla drive trying to figure it out. Now you can buy an automotive-grade setup from AEM that fixes all these issues. It won't be a ton of work re-wiring and I managed to swap out the Tesla board without dropping my motor so that was easy, peasey.
Next I'll mount the VCU and finish up the wiring.

Thank you
There are some updates but I am having problems downloading the pictures on this thread from my phone. I am going to try to post some updates with pictures from my tablet tonight.

A quick update. I definitely owe more info because the car has progressed. I posted it for sale and had a few interested buyers. Ultimately, I think a few items still needed to be buttoned up. I'm in the process of doing the following:
1. Installing power steering - using an electric Volvo pump
2. Making the gauges operable - just bought the slick looking speedhut setup posted here
3. Wiring up the level 2 charging
After all that is done, I'll probably list it on BAT. I like the car but I'm full up on fun cars with an e30, i8, and FD.
