few months back i saw this online in japan.
A mazdaspeed 3 gauge pod for the fd .. while i felt that the whole piece was chunky i was like, im getting this.. I couldnt be any more wrong LOL
This lil thing sold for a little over 3k usd and that didnt even include commission shipping within japan, and then international shipping

I have my pre turbo dual EGT on the passenger airbag cover (no airbag obviously ) currently with the KOSO dual Egt monitor. Switched to a 52mm gauge (digital dual egt)

My AFR is in the din pocket (NGK AFX) that comes as a square box ... Hard to mount needless to say. found a 52mm gauge that hooks up to the 0-5v output of the NGK

And i switched my boost control for a turbosmart eboost boost controller that comes as a gauge

So long story short, i needed a 3 gauge pod ...

After looking for one that looked half nice, i decided i had to make one !

Thanks to my buddy Jim Thompson, He hooked me up with a super clean 99-2002 dashboard. While i have no intention to use it as a dashboard, but rather as a test dummy for products as such (since my friggin car is half way across the globe) I figured this is a rare opportunity to get the dash; and If i Ever need a Dash, oh well i have one

So since i can more or less fabricate fiberglass stuff, i figured let me find something that looks half decent and make it work... pretty much like what i did with the defi ZD "dash" monitor

I opted for a GC8 Pod fiberglass. initially fitting as such :

Then some chopped up version

getting for some fiberglass makin! Since the location was finally found

as of right now i have no intention to use the Border racing mickey mouse pod but its the closest thing i had to a cluster hood to see how it looks from the driver's standpoint

I will make a bracket that it will be screwed on together at the speaker mount much like the mazdaspeed.. just so much better

Beautiful !! White FD's are just deadly !!

One quick question , did you simply go back to OEM hood , because of look or is there anything wrong with that orgasmic AD-9 hood.
(I would of painted it white)

no im painting it white but im debating whether i should leave a carbon trim or something.. half painted vents something..

I know this is an added trim.. dont like how it sticks out more than the already sticking out hood vent,.. so i figured to give the same effect (or similar masked part) during paint

second person asking me the same question.. sorry i guess i wasnt clear

a few updates.
didnt get to do much due to some personal issues but here's how the car came out

I replaced the front canards with the genuine FEED 3 piece ones..

Replaced the rear wing . apparently this is a new(er?) odula version. looks much better than the previous version

painted the hood to match the car.. needs hood pins for a better fitment

New transmission (better for the street)

My clutch lasted maybe 3 months of continuous use. slips like a **** LOL. lasted more or less what i was expecting out of it. Time for a serious upgrade, Been debating between R3C or R2C from os giken. I know the R3C will be an overkill but oh well, dont do we all do that anyway LOL

It's crazy how much more 'sportscar-like' your FD looks than those Nissans......

Lovin the exterior changes
