I purchased a set of 3 good Tein HA's and one burned one from Travis via this thread https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=715466 for the agreed on price of $360shipped on December 25. Due to a family emergency he did not ship them out until Jan. 4. No big deal to me... the holidays are a busy time and he had a family emergency. Well, the package arrived around the 12th or 13th. I open the package up to discover that these are not Tein HA's... they are Tein HR's. Tein HR's are only height adjustable... not dampening adjustable. I send Travis a PM on Jan. 13 and let him know that these are not Tein HA's and what he would suggest to fix the situation. Also, I had already purchased an additional Tein HA to replace the burnt one... so now I'm out another $250 due to the fact that I can't use just one. He sends me a PM back asking what I think we should do. I tell him that it was an honest mistake... it happens. I suggest that he refunds my money and we will split the return shipping. Well, he never responds back to my PM. He is online several times each day and after 2 days, I resend my PM, just in case he has overlooked it. After 4 days he finally responds to my PM on Jan. 17 stating...

Thanks for your patience,
Travis

I have no issues shipping these out to someone else for you if you do sell them, but you still need to refund my money before doing so. Otherwise, you are making me the middle man due to if there is a problem with the coilovers with the new buyer, he paid me. Like I said in the beginning, it was a honest mistake on your part... but it was a mistake nonetheless. I paid for Tein HA's and did not recieve them. Please let me know when my money will be refunded. Thanks.

Why would I ask you to send them to another buyer, if I never refunded your money back? That doesn't make any sense at all man. I'm not here to pull a fast one on anybody! I don't work like that, and I never will. I'm just trying to find a peaceful solution, because it was an honest mistake! I even posted pictures, and as a buyer, you saw what you bought!!! I didn't change the pics before, or after you bought them. So trust me, I want to resolve this just like you do.

So please don't get offended. I could make you keep these coilovers. Because the pics show what they are, whether or not I listed them with the wrong title. I have over 30 pm's coming in every day. I own my own business, and work side jobs as well. I'm sorry if I didn't get back to you in a timely manner, but please rest assured that i'm working hard to fix this problem! I am finalizing a deal with a member here local to me, so I need until tomorrow. If the deal doesn't go through, i'll paypal your refund. Please get them boxed up, and ready to go, let me know what shipping is going to be. If it is too much I might have you use my account.

It's common courtesy to let me know what you have going on with our transaction after you made the mistake and I didn't need an answer within the hour or anything... but four days is too long. I understand being busy. I manage a 50 man element as well as make sure no harm comes to the top 4 Generals of the 101st Airborne day in and day out. You were online everyday multiple times and it wouldn't of taken more than a couple of minutes to let me know you were trying to find a buyer for them. I leave for Afghanistan for 15 months very very soon and I would like to get this taken care of ASAP.
As far as the comment about making me keep the coilovers...The fact of the matter is that you can not clearly see where it says HR in the pictures due to the flash covering it up. I paid for Tein HA's... not HR's... and I'm out an additional $250 as well because I already purchased another front coilover to replace the burnt one. You have admitted that it was your mistake. You also just said that you sold an engine for $3500. So refund my $360... you obviously have the money. Why am I waiting for you to sell them again? If I ordered a product online and they sent me the wrong thing, they would not expect me to wait for them to find another buyer before they refunded my money. Please let me know something by tomorrow.

Have a good night.
Travis

P.S. I know what military life is like, I am in the USAF as well.

So on 1-17-08 he said he would get back to me tomorrow. He has not been online since and has not made any attempt at contacting me. You can not clearly see in the pictures that they are Tein HA's. They are, however, clearly advertised as Tein HA's. The flash blocks the letter. Here is the picture that he posted in the thread.

I know Travis has had many of great transactions here on the forum and I fully expect him to step up and make this right. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and his threats to make me keep the coilovers and be out $360 is enough for me to post this. I have been a part of this community for many years and have never had any problems with any transactions as a buyer or a seller. If there is any question about me editing the PM's I posted, I have no issues taking pictures of them on the computer screen and posting them.

Brent

I sent him funds on the 13th of January for some items and I am waiting for a tracking number. He has not been online since the 17th so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt as this is the first thread I have seen where someone is dissatisfied. I am sure he'll come online soon and fix your situation and send me a tracking number for my items.

I HIGHLY doubt you guys have anything to worry about. I've dealt with Travis before and he's definitely one of the good guys. I'm sure everything will be resolved shortly.

I spoke with Travis on the phone about 30 minutes ago. I understand that his area of Cali is going through a power failure. He advised that he would be online as soon as possible and straighten everything out. I understand that Memphis has received a refund for the Teins already so things appear to be moving in the right direction again.

Travis is a good guy, I've purchased things before from him. I guess I was the 'other' party involved since I wanted to get these, but you purchased them before I could, then he PM'd me a while back offering me to sell these for $300 shipped, I said I'd think about it, then realized the same thing you did, they're not dampening adjustable, so I passed on them. Give a bit more time.

He explained that the packaging, shipping company he uses is going through the same power outage so items have not gone out. I guess things are not cool till we all receive our items or a tracking number but I think that will happen. Travis did not deny anything when I spoke to him and acknowledged his errors, hopefully he'll be able to get online and speak for himself soon. But I feel more comfortable now that I have spoken to him and know his address and phone number etc.

He sent me a paypal for the $360 back yesterday afternoon. I'm not concerned now, just waiting for half the shipping and the coilovers will be back on their way to Cali.

Hey Fellas,

Thanks for all the support from the people who know me, and have dealt with me before.

For all who havn't, you have nothing to worry about. We have just had a bunch of freak things happen. Lots of really low snow levels, along with over 2800 power outages. The Foothills can be a bitch sometimes!

Anyways, i'm am currently pulling the rest of the parts that have been paid for, as well as getting them ready to be shipped. I'm very sorry for the wait, and the confusion. But I was unable to get online to reply to anyone. So once again, VERY sorry!

If anyone wants to speak to me personally, just leave me your number in a PM, and i'll get back to you asap.
Thanks for your patience.
