Thumbs down Clint Tribble AKA ctribb01

I really hate to be "that guy" posting threads like this but I feel I have been more then patient and waited long enough. I am currently in Iraq and can no longer deal with this situation, therefor my wife has to deal with this matter while I am gone.

Listed in this thread are all the details of a good relation and good deal that has not turned out so well. I have posted all PM's that I still have, I do not have every single PM saved because I had to clean out my box when it filled up.

I would like to once again say that I had delt with Clint in the past and had no complaints, he was a little hard to get ahold of on occasion but I was more then satisfied with what was delivered to me, which is why I chose to deal with him again.

The following is posted on another negative thread about ctribb01. My wife has been sick of waiting for the refund from Clint so she made a post on the thread...can't really blame her though that's not how I'd prefer to conduct business.

I had sent a payment for a part back on Jan 28th. I waited for over a week for him to get the part shipped to me. After almost 2 weeks I went ahead and just bought another part off of someone else. My car was sitting in my drive way unable to move until I got the part and being that it was my daily driver I really couldn't afford to wait forever. After I got the other part in and got my car up and running, I still had nothing from Clint.

I've been working with Clint via email and PM's since mid-February trying to get my $330 refund. For the record I had delt with Clint before and had nothing but good things to say, I know he's going through rought times right now which is why I've been more then patient with him for the past 2-3 months waiting for my refund. I have yet to file a Paypal claim as I would like to give him the benifit of the doubt but I fear I've waited to long regardless and can no longer file a Paypal claim even if I wanted to.

Here are the majority of the PM's between Clint and myself, some are sent PM's and others are received. As I stated I don't have all of them cause my box got full and I made room, I kept most of what I felt was important. The main PM's that are missing before these are the initial messages where I contacted Clint to see if he had a 3rd Gen Differential. When we first talked about this he did not have one, however he assured me that within a day or two he was going to be picking up a 3rd Gen roller which he would pull the Differential off of for me. I was ok with this, like I said I delt with him before so I didnt mind a small wait and giving him some time. After a week of trying to finalize everything and make sure he knew what I really needed is when things started to get complicated.

I was set to deploy to Iraq around April, I knew this way ahead of time. My FD broke down on me in December/January and I really needed it to get to work, that and my wife was sick of me driving her car and my car was collecting cobwebbs. Anyway, after getting off my *** to fix my car I found a few people who were interested in buying my car from me, I decided to sell it upon finishing the Differential replacement. Eventually it came down to Clint not being able to ship the Differential in a timely manner to where I could sell the car when I needed to. So I simply asked Clint for a refund after I had found someone else who had a Differential for sale. Once I got the new part in and fixed the car I ended up trading it and ended up not having a RX-7 anymore. Clint's reasons for not shipping in time and not sending a refund are listed in the following PM's

Well inside the diff there's a large gear ring and a case attached to it that has smaller gears inside, the case has 2 bearing rings one on each side where the axles are inserted. All I need is the case that is attached to the large gear ring.

If you google search the torsen you'll see what I mean, or even a forum search for TII diff's there's pics of it. It'd be a lot easier and probably a lot cheaper too just to send the torsen vise the 80 pound pumpkin

Would it be easier for me to pick it up? I was planning to do a family trip to FL this weekend but I could change things up and pass by to pick up the diff this weekend as well.

Let me know if that works,

Actually is it to much trouble to just get a refund, I didn't catch the part about the snow storm so that probably wouldn't be the best of things to drive through.

I have a few people here locally near me that have what I need but I'd need to get a refund to pick them up.

Anyway, let me know man

Thanks again

Actually is it to much trouble to just get a refund, I didn't catch the part about the snow storm so that probably wouldn't be the best of things to drive through.

I have a few people here locally near me that have what I need but I'd need to get a refund to pick them up.

Anyway, let me know man

Thanks again

And finally I have this link to provide,

My last PM to Clint was 05-15-08, 11:56 AM asking "Anything new?"
The last PM I received from Clint was 05-04-08, 04:52 PM which is posted above

I filed a Paypal dispute at 5/17/2008 04:50 which is posted below, however since I was the nice guy who was patient with Clint for up to 4 months waiting for my refund my Paypal transaction is no longer able to be disputed.

Non-receipt - Case ID: PP-476-138-851
Dispute Closed: 5/17/2008 04:51 PDT
Transaction ID: 2D948021PG8675341
Seller Name & Email: Clint Tribble, ctribbtele@aol.com
Transaction Amount: -$330.00 USD
Transaction Date: 1/28/2008 13:03 PST

Total Messages: 1
From Buyer: STEPHEN MCCARTY on 5/17/2008 04:51 PDT
This dispute is being filed for the transaction which took place on January 28th of 2008. This payment was made to Mr. Tribble for the purchase of a automotive part which was to be delivered to my residence. Prior to the agreement, Mr. Tribble has assured me he could produce the automotive part to me in a timely manner. However, after a little more then a week I had requested a refund from Mr. Tribble. The refund request was conducted via email/private messaging around early to mid February. Since then Mr. Tribble has been unable to send the refund but has kept somewhat in touch with me to let me know he was still planning on sending me the refund.
I have waited nearly 4 months for a refund of my $330 for the automotive parts that I paid for which were not delivered within a reasonable time frame. I respectfully request this issue to be further looked into as it is now almost June and I have yet to hear any further update from Mr. Tribble on a refund.
I hope this issue can be solved swiftly and with ease so the case can be closed without further escalation.
Regards,
Steve McCarty

TRUST - I have stayed in contact with you. I am not and will not hide or whatever. Bottom line is that I owe you $330 for a diff that you changed your mind on and just bought gears from someone else.

I have told you and will continue to tell you that I will send you your money as soon as I have it. At worse case - First of July when i get my commision.

Or I can send you the diff you bought and changed your mind on.

Bottom line is I am not a scammer, or whatever else anyone wants to say. I have never taken anyones money and ran and never will!!!

For God Sake man - You are a soldier fighting for all of us over there and I pray for you and all of your brothers over there and can't thank you enough for what you'll are doing. The last thing I would do is steal from you or anyone else. Taking from a soldier that fights for my freedom is like taking the food out of my child's mouth and I am not a POS.

If i could **** money we would all be rich. I am sorry you and I met right before my life went to ****; but I know you don't want to hear sorry, you want your money and I want just as badly to give it to you.

AS SOON AS I CAN - you will get your money. Hell buy my LS1-7 and I will give you an extra grand! I am trying to sell vehicles and anything i can do to make enough money to keep the parts shipped and finish all of my deals.

I know you had to do what you had to do; but I am going no where and you will get your money as soon as I can.

Sorry for the delay.

I have been understanding with you since day 1 that **** happens and things take time, but I can't see why it is so hard to set aside a few bucks here and there through the course of over 4 months for a $330 refund. I understand you may be in hard times and I have been ever so patient but come on man, all these other people sending you money and their stuff getting shipped out... I should be near the top of the priority list of those guys and I know it sounds shitty but whatever they pay you should be set aside to refund me before you even ship their stuff. At least that is how I would conduct my business in that situation. That would be like $80 a month you could have set aside for me, hell I would even been ok with partial payments over nothing at all.

If I had a RX-7 still then I would just take parts off you but I don't so I don't know what to say man. I really hate it had to come to this cause I did want to get more stuff off you in the future for my arriving RX-7.

It is June 6 and I will have my commision on July 3rd from what I am figuring and you will be paid your $330 in full. Hell - Tell you what. I will paypal you $350, that is an extra $20 for the wait.

Beleive me, if I could have set already I would have. As far as other payments I have received - You might not have saw the other post where i said my wife left and cleaned me out (bank accounts) so I have been fighting tooth and nail to keep the things I have worked for and all of that money has went to that.

TRUST - AS I HAVE SAID OVER AND OVER - YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY - AS SOON AS I GET MY OVERDUE COMMISION>>>

Oh yeah; also this week, after today, a total of 12 orders will have went out. Just for the record... I am busting my *** and scraping money together to get eveyone caught up, so try to cut me a little slack! Recent orders are going out quickly like they used to while I am getting the overdue ones as quickly as possible.

Sorry and thanks for your paitence and you wasting your time beating me up on this thread. I did just what I said I would do and a couple weeks early...

But months too long to have to wait on it. Sorry. But like I said - you got it!!!
