I'll be the first one to say that the vari-cool kit is just that. The install was very simple for even the novice stereo installer. There where no relays or any tricks to it. The controller is Very cool (hence the name) with features like a serial port to plug in a hand held computer to see exactly whats going on with tons of differant tuning and logging capabilities I'm sure this kit will prove to be all it's cracked up to be. Here is a small diagram of how I installed it.
edit: I'll keep everyone up to date with how it works. My plans are to run my t61 at 22psi on pump gas. Down here it is mostly 92 and sometimes you can find 93 octane.

Very Nice diagram. Please let me know if i can use that diagram as some of our customers may find that useful.
One of the nice advantages of your controller is the fact that it will not become obsolete due to the serial port. For example, the Vari-Safe Smart Injection Tuning Module will be available this spring and you will be able to connect it to your controller and use it if you decide you want this.
This is where smart device programming has some nice advantages.

What I can say is that this will be our greatest technical achievement and we are about to do something that has never been done but greatly needed. Stay Tuned.

A few install pics. Not much. I'm probably going to change out the line with stainless all the way to the enginebay but for now this will do.
here is the pump and tank placement. I now have a stainless line comming from the round spot just to the left of the filler cap and it's going to a vent right above the fuel filler cap.
alky/water vent
controller in glove box along with the lt8 and the line going to my wb02 sensor so that everything can be plugged in to the laptop with ease
pic of stainless line, clog detector, checkvalve and injector placement. Probably going with a 90* angle for the injector as well so that it gets more of an even flow.

start a group buy on your new product
edit: oh yeah just incase someone wants to know. The placement of the led's are in the top left corner of the gauge cluster surround. I have three lights. one for level, one for clog detection and the other one is for my efan to know when it comes on.

Hondahater -- GET THAT HOT TERMINAL ON THE ALTERNATOR COVERED PRONTO! You've got a fuel line sitting right next to the +12VDC output on the alternator -- if those touch, you'll create a massive fuel leak and set the car on fire!!!!!! :o
Btw, nice breather vent install.

yea, well thats one of the BIGGEST advantages of using 100% water. With the Vari-Cool all you need to do is install our Intake temp sensor, set the controller to activate at say...400F and aim a few nozzles next to that fuel line and you wil put out the fire. Infact...You can make it vary flow from 400-600F...the more fire...the more water.
We have a solution for everything.

congrats, it is always super to find something NEW!! a no brainer package.
BTW, just received my Jan issue of Hot Rod. HR reports on the results of Drag Week. 5 days, 1500 miles 5 events, sort of like One Lap for quarter milers...
the "fastest streetcar in America" was a 73 Plymouth Duster w a 537 cu in wedge motor ran a best of 8.26 at 164. and did the 1500 street miles.
what the hell is it doing in the AI section you ask?
to quote Hot Rod, "A custom direct port water injection system helps keep it alive." the motor makes 864 hp on pump gas and another 700 hp from nitrous.
water works.

first off.............bad ***! The install was already super freakin' easy now this setup makes it even easier! At the risk of sounding like a salesman that is a very smart thing to do and is great for the developer as much as the consumer! That being said. Brian thanks for looking out, I've been doing a mock up so there is no battery and the alternator is being yanked before I set everything so that it can get powder coated with the rest of the front assy. stuff. So it is deffinately getting coverd before it's done. thanks again though.

Well I still encourage you to take care of that pronto. I've seen two FC's light up in flames because of exactly that same spot and issue.
