I am trying to find a good way of scaling back what you have done to a lower hp car. Comment as you please - if you think this idea is retarded post that too, otherwise which way of calculating water flow do you think is best? Anyone have any better ideas on how to calculate this?
Your setup produces roughly 93.3lb/min of air at 34psi and you use 2700cc/min of preturbo water injection.
~28.9 cc/min per lb/min of air
~79.4 cc/min per psi of boost
~142 cc/min per psi of boost past 15 psi
scaling this back to a 500 hp car at 25 psi producing 66.6lb/min of air
based on air flow: 1926 cc/min
based on boost: 1985 cc/min
based on psi of boost past 15 psi: 1420
All the assumptions above assume there is a linear relationship between waterflow required and xxxx. My feeling is that it is not linear but we dont really have enough data to figure out the nature of this curve so we can only assume that it is atleast linear.

~17.1 cc/min per lb/min of air

~84.0 cc/min per psi of boost past 15 psi

Evidently i cant read or add... corrected version

I will be running 11% water to fuel mixture (550cc Jet) with slightly richer a/fs on my next setup.
5060cc fuel with about 10% water to fuel mixture means you use a 500cc jet.
5060cc fuel with about 25% water to fuel mixture means you use a 1200cc jet.

Remember he is also spraying pre-turbo so the turbo helps to atomise the water. Great job by the way Rx72c. Was waiting on this day to see you post figures like these. Hey what seals are you running?

Half Super seal, Half E&J.
Engine was running a full set of E&J seals but we damaged 3 apex seals when we had one of our WI jets fail. replaced everything in the front rotor and put Ra super seal.
Cant pick them really. If i didnt know my self i had ra seals in one and e&j in the other, then i would never know. It runs mint.
Start it in the morning with no assitance, not even idle control, idles fairly smooth at 950rpm. Engine dosnt pull much vaccum but this is due to the agressive porting.

My tank holds 5 Quarts.
5 quarts= 5678cc
5678 / 600cc(min) =9.46 mins
So roughly 10 mins of full boost.
I used to have my water activate around 3 psi, and I went through 5x more water compared to the 8 psi I activate it at now. Activation point makes a huge difference.

Im not sure if the car can be pushed harder on pump. Time will tell. I want to see how reliable its going to be at its current level.
Rice Racings ports work very well. If your thinking of copying his porting design. Its a good one to copy.

so im takin it that you have a rice style port or is it one of your own design, my next motor will prob be my port with a small bridge, my port is a bit weird but will have to see how it goes. china gt45, rice WI, cdi, jatco 3 speed

i know your car and have seen your port.
If your doing a tic tac bridge. Let me tell you now its a waste of time.
We are doing a rx3 coupe now with the same setup as my rx7. But bridgeport.
It has the same mild port as the rx7 but with a full length bridge added on. Bridge is not very thick but only cause mild port is so wide.
In relation to how close it is to a rice port.
IT IS VERY VERY VERY CLOSE. went alittle wider on the port in my rx7, but that is not to say rice didnt do the same on his.
Can i add. If you have a chance to redo your ports. Take 1.5mm off th sidewall of our mild port on the water jacket side. And cut bridges in full length.
This will really get your china gt45 going hard so you can get a power band. Otherwise your car will make Peak hp but have no powerband.
With the above port youll get over 500rwhp by 5000rpm. And it will hold to just over 8500rpm before the turbo will start to run out of guts.

I have spoken to you on the phone a few times ash. You bought some turbos off us.
When you have it apart next time. Ill give you all the specs you need to make a killer port. Just send me a msg.
