Brisbane Cruise?

Looking 4 other RX7's to cruise with in Brisbane QLD? Don't see too many RX7's around let alone FC's. Would love to get a group together to go up Mt Glorious and some of the great surrounding areas! Any body interested????

Used to be a member of The 7 Of Clubs but I found that they really didn't do much interesting cruising. They only went highway driving.... straight road..... good if u just was to be seen but I would rather a callange and see some interesting country side! Also they didn't have too many events. They mainly did family bbq's with nav run ( The inner circle was very hard to break into and not that easy to chat to). Don't get me wrong, there was some very friendly and I talked to some great people there too! But I ended up finding a better club called Cooloola Car Club - www.c3zone.org

Check them out! The web site u will prob see my car in there but the forum u see my car 4 sure! It's the Silver FC RX7 Series 4! They do a lot more events for eg that Motorkhana/Skidpan out at Roadcraft (u will see what that's about on web site too)

I think they are trying to get a 1/4 mile track out there too and through the great people there u can just about get into anything you want eg hill climbs, willowbank events of all sorts etc. These people will just about do anything for u and I am proud to be a member of their great club. Only wish I had more money to be able to get into a lot more events!!!

Only problem is there are out at Gympie so that's y I was calling on some people that are interested in going 4 a more local cruise. Have got a few friends with different cars (like Linc with his Celica that has a 13B engine dumped in2 it!) but thought it would be great to get together a few RX7's to go for a cruise! Nothing looks quite as impressive as a couple of rotaz together! don't see too many on the road let alone in a group!

Plus it is always great to meet other car freaks!!!!

Hell yeah i'm always up for a cruise! I'm in a couple of car clubs directly and indirectly but i'm always up for a cruise (just sometimes the fc isn't :P) I'm from Ipswich but getting to the meet point can be half the fun

If you would like to u can post up on a Ipswich based rotor club, http://www.ipswichrotorcrew.com/phpBB3/ in the unoffical events section

Hey BzR5150! Just checked out the Ipswich rotor crew forum and like what you guys get upto out and about. Looks like another forum I have to get into! Missed the girls nite out though...BUGGER!! That would have been a bit of fun!
At the moment am only getting the Mondays off but that will soon change, so will hit ya 2 go cruising soon... and anyone else that's up 4 it also! Will have to sort out a date, place and time! Is Sundays any good 4 u and any others that want to catch up?

If Your interested there is a motorkhana all day event through Cooloola Car Club 10th June at Gympie. Not taking my car in it but would be good to catch up and meet ya. Can intro u to a lot of great people and a fun event!

That goes for anyone that's keen to meet up for a fun car day!

Let me know if anyone is keen to go and can make some plans to meet up and cruise up there!

Hey, I don't actually have an RX-7 (yet) - I own a Mitsubishi FTO .. wouldn't mind coming out for a cruise with some Rx-7's sometime if there's anything happening..

Also, FTOAustralia.com does some fairly regular mountain cruise runs ( hasn't been anything for a while, but there's one tomorrow for Mt Nebo - chances are you won't notice this post before tomorrow, but if you want to tag along - we're meeting at the Alderley Arms Hotel carpark at 11am Sunday 30 March)

I used to go on all the cruises posted on ausrotary/7clubs etc, your right everyone already has there groups and its hard to break through, I was also exactly the same as you and wanted to drive my car for fun and challenge not cruise up the highway like I did everday to work, so I kind of gave up in the end. Id be organising a drive with you asap as your on the northside but I live in japan now....bit far away from redcliffe (was at morayfield). Next time im back in aus ill hit you up, only my rotor back home now is a bit of a slug (stock s2) as I sold my FC to come overseas, though next time I come back could be with my FD wooo. What do you drive I might of seen you on the cruises.

hey mate I just bought a 2002 FD and live in brisbane, its got an extend port with full amemiya body kit. Give me an email on bcam@adsl.on.net and we will go for a cruise to Mt Glorious etc. Need to buy some radios, so that we can have a bit of a squirt without fretting about blue sirens. Only legal issue i have with the car is the rear wing. Not sure what the ramifications are if im pulled over. Don't want the car defected on me...

don't let the fear of being pulled over stop you driving ur car - it will spoil it!! maybe ask at a place that does roadworthy checks for some advice.. or just drive it it's there to enjoy!!!
