17x9/10.5 FR500 mustang wheels

i know i was curious, and couldnt find anyone with good answers. so i just went for it, and here it is.
17x9 and 17x10.5 mustang wheels fit FC's. but of course you'll need to do something with your fenders to fit any decent amount of rubber under there.
i have 255/40/17 and 285/40/17 with tein flex coilovers. the front tires barely clear inside (1mm at most..) but the do in fact clear. btw, i'll be using 20mm wide front fenders, so i just went to town with the stock ones.
the pics are pre-alignment, but i now have 1 degree of camber all around, and its all good. no more rubbing, and tons of grip.
im pretty sure you can get away with 17x9's all around with 235/40/17 with only rolling the insides of the fenders.

What are the offsets? Not a fan of the actual wheel design, but fitment looks killer!

sure did. i was gonna have boostinmys5 do it, but being a shop employee.. he charges too much. so i just bought the roller and gave it a shot. i messed up a little on the pass side, but the drivers side turned out fine.
if anyone plans on doing this i highly recommend doing it on a parts car first..

Be careful of tire flex with that minimal clearance. most people don't consider the tire's characteristics under heavy lateral loads. just make sure to keep an eye on the inside sidewall.

Cool fit, i'm amazed that the 9 24's even cleared coilovers at all. The 10.5 +27 must be pretty close to the rear arm as well. How close is your tire sidewall to that?

i can fit a finger between the rear arm and the tire. so i guess thats about 1/2"
and yah the front clearance is really pushing it... but im ok with that lol
i would have to recommend 245 in front, but i'll prolly keep buying 255's anyway.
also, i thought about the tire load. but i was thinking- does the top of the tire flex much?

Youd be suprised at how much tire flex there is under lateral load. I cant seem to find it right now, but there was a thread a while ago about rubbing in the rear with the common 285/30r18 on CCW 18x10+50 wheels on FDs ( a setup I used to run). There was pictures posted where you could clearly see major wheel/tire flex under load, even with the small 30 series sidewall. Now granted alot of this was running R-compounds, but I would imagine if you are running that close of a spacing, even street tires could cause problems.
