EDIT BY LT1-10AE: This was originally a thread about an S2000 engine in an FC. What do the pages of this thread have to do with it? Nothing. Stop the bickering and keep the subjects relatively on topic or I'll start removing access to this section to the main problems.

I think thats the biggest water pump pulley I've ever seen... its bigger than the crank.

My stock LS1 with a cam and nitrous will exceed 500 RWHP, and weighs less, and will break less then that VG. Go play with your friends who think things are cool just because they're JDM.

The 3 I've heard of ended up wrapped around trees, but one was TBoned.
The only thing that changes with the turbo upgrade is, well, the larger turbos flow better so you don't have boost problems at higher RPM.
I'm willing to bet, with a little alcohol injection, you could get 600 hp out of that motor pretty easily, and reliably. Mitsubishi over-engineered those motors...
Sorry to rain on your parade, but 500 WHP out of an LS1 is pretty pathetic. A simple turbo kit and you could get 700+ out of that, almost 1000 with a twin turbo.
Sorry, but I don't hang with the 'JDM' crowd, I don't hang with anyone. If anything, I tend to hang out with the Rally crowd, where decent torque and power have to be made with 2.0l FI. Your LS1 might be awesome ****, but it's not the best thing on the planet. Hell, my Subaru's head flows just as well, stock, compared to a stock LS1 head.
Heh, Nitrous Oxide. It's FI, but it can't compare at all to a good, purpose built twin turbo V8.

Hes not going with forced induction, hes going N/A... You cant compare apples to turbos, and not everyone turbos everything.
And uhhh you dont need two turbos to get 1000 whp from a LS1. Its been done relatively cheaply before - stock crank, iron 6L LSx block from a truck, new rods/pistons, a big *** turbo, and management and injectors as needed (and well, a fuel pump, FMIC, etc... but we're talking engines here) and the initial dyno put down like 940 whp.
TBH, I dont even think you need the truck block - Ive seen the LS1 aluminum block take some serious power before - but its just cheap insurance. As strong as a 6 bolt main deep skirted aluminm block is why not get an iron one?
Anyway, hes not going for max power, or turbos, hes going for a lightly modified LS1 with nitrous to drag race. And cute job with the LS1 headflow... think headflow REALLY matters that damn much with a turbo? Supra heads dont flow as good as LS1 heads and they have only 6 cyls, not 8.

Im not hating on the conversion cus its your money and time, but it kinda sucks when you guys get a big *** motor and make power easily done with a rotary.

I'm familiar with Subaru as well, I have an '05 Impreza in the garage. Do you want a cookie?

You sir, are one who talks a lot of ****. What does your car run exactly? Same question as posed previously. Put up or shut up. I've got a friend with a camera mount, I'll be sure to video embarassing plenty of rotary cars (if I can find any running locally, the fast ones seem to blow up every year... and I'm not being sarcastic).

Haha, it's because of people like you I'm glad I don't actaully own a V8 of any kind. And because of you I won't own a domestic V8 either.
Flow doesn't matter with FI? O_O Whoa... I was under the impression that if you don't have a good flowing head, you have issues getting boost into the cylinders. Your turbo or supercharger will be making 10 psi of boost, but only 3 or 4 will make it into the cylinder.
I'm going to end up doing a EG33 into a SA, if I can find a EG33 for less than $3,000. it might not be 500 whp, but at least I'll have traction.

I had to move the engine back because the f20c is longer then the 13b and would have had to be resting on top of the cross member; moving it back also keeps the car balanced. Because the engine is a inline 4, and even though its set on a slight angle, its a pretty tall engine and if i were to set it ont he x-member, that just wouldnt work out.
Actually, the shifter is about 1 or 2 inches behind the stock shifter location with where the engine is set now. If the engine was any farther back, i would not have access to my spark plugs or the oil cap since it would been coverd by the cowel.
I dont see how thigns could work out any better, well, other then having to cut the car up a little...
I'm using as much stock mazda equiptment as i can, including the radiator, which is WAY overkill for the new engine. I think i might use the rx-7 oil cooler too.

Oh, theres him talking about his times at the track.
So, what, is he a liar? Or are you just a dumbass?
Also, wheres "all these videos of a v8 rx-7 being spanked" anyway?
WTF does it matter? Nobodys saying you cant make 400 whp with a turbo rotary - just some people want torque, better fuel economy, and reliability with it, which a Turbo Rotary just cant deliver. But hey, at least the BBC 427 is probably getting the same MPG you are
