Are you running a midpipe?
I want to see how many people here are actually running a midpipe. Those who had a DP/exhaust before adding a midpipe, how much louder was your exhaust?
I know when I had my 8, my HF cat + greddy exhaust was about 5x louder than just the regular greddy exhaust.
I have RB dual catback and I'm wondering if there will be a noticeable difference when adding the midpipe.

There is a substantial noise difference when running a midpipe. My friend Mike and I are running the same setup (DP, and RB catbacks) the only difference is he's running a straight MP, and I have a resonated MP. It is significantly louder. He's actually looking to rid of it for that reason.

With RB cat-back, my resonated midpipe is quieter than my hi-flow cat was under all conditions except WOT above 5000 rpm, where it is barely louder. Either is significantly louder than stock cat.

ive run a midpipe, resonnated midpipe, and high flow cat before. Like someone stated previosly, a good resonated midpipe is on par with the sound levels of a high flow cat. I am currently running a straightpipe on the street and wow is it louder. I love the new sound I get that can only be achieved with no restriction but whenever I see a po po, clutch in and roll on by if I can. lol. Im thinking of going back to a resonated midpipe.

As not mentioned previously, the size of your porting if any will also determine how loud the exhaust is. I intallalled a metalic act' and my exhaust has a resonator but it hurts my ears if driving more then 15min on the highway. On the strets it's tolerable. I have a street port. Now I know why guys say a bridge port is insane loud and they regret it for that reason.

I have a "high flow" cat which is supposedly similar in volume to a resonated midpipe. With the RB dual tip catback the volume level is really quite perfect for a street-driven car. I would like a slightly deeper tone, though, so I have a resonated midpipe waiting to be installed (but I don't have a tune for it, so it'll have to wait until the next dyno day).

For example, I tried doing a search just a few minutes ago for how to correct the pressure difference between my boost gauge and my PFC. I did a search for "correcting pressure", "how to fix pressure", in the PFC forum and found NOTHING, then I did "difference pressure" and after a few post I found what I was looking for.
It may not be that people are not searching, it could be that they do not know how to search for what they are looking for. This is not a “this forum” only problem, it’s a general problem. People in general may not know how to do searches for what they are looking for.
Those "clowns" are at least trying to help out a fellow board member, not everyone is as savvy as you or others when it comes to computers, cars, etc. If they give bad information, instead of telling them to blow you, just correct them. Those "clowns" who "don't know ****" might have already done the search and is what they got out of the threads that they found.
Anyway, yea you have 3,447 post to my sorry 247 so I’ll bow down to your hopefully correct knowledge about said information, however that doesn’t give you the right to be have your nose so elevated that one would need the space shuttle just to see your nasal septum. –What’s a nasal septum you say? Do a search.

You know, sometimes people do search and still not able to find what they are looking for because they do not know how to search for said information.

its not about nose uop in air. its about actually helping people. when a topic gets beaten to death the people that know what they are talkign about is done discussing the topic. their extremely useful information will not be posted when the question is asked for the 1000x time. there fore in order to get " good" information it is necessary to search.
alright i am not gettign into this. thats it

My point is not everyone knows how to do a search. yea your 10 yr old niece can search effectively, she's born into the computer age. There are 10 year old kids who know more about computers then either you or I. Not everyone is computer savvy. Not everyone can search effectively. That's all I'm trying to say.
Yes, I understand that if you constantly answer the same question over and over again it gets old. Well if said question is consistently asked repeatedly why isn't it a sticky? Let's get those FAQ sticky(ies) updated. That would solve 90% of the problem I believe.
Anyway, sorry for the thread derailment.
