I have thought about it from time to time, there is a local FD (or WAS at one time) that was just stripped of everything, running a big single turbo and making something like 478 hp, running 9's. It would be fun but not cost-effective.

I think I'd rather spend the money on a Supra or modding an SC300, or just say **** it and actually buy a new(er) car like a Lexus IS350, Infinity G35, Volvo S60R, etc.

The money comment was a joke. Sometimes hard to make a joke using text...

FWIW, I also had 2 FDs for a year. One near stock, the other fully built that I was planning on using more for HPDE activities. Sold the near stock one and having fun tinkering with the fully built one. For me, I'd also rather have a larger, more comfy car for regular driving that I can drive anywhere and not feel bad when someone dings it.

Even though my R1 was pristine with only 27k miles on the clock when I purchased her, the process of *****-to-the-wall modding just kind of happened as a gradual evolution over time due to the hunger for acceleration and speed

My daily is Acura Legend Coupe. Its roomy, decent power, and have all the luxury of mid 90s car.. LOL! And I dont give a **** if someone dings it or key it!
