Question Will boost controller eliminate boost creep?

What's up RX-7 lovers,

I'm confused? I have been researching and talking to different sources and getting different answers. Will a boost controller (preferably GReddy ProfecB Spec2, or Apexi AVC-R) eliminate boost creep or will it only eliminate boost spike when I add a mp? I'm thinking about re-doing my exhaust (cause I don't know what the hell kind of brand or anything it is, bought my baby like that) and making it 3" with a mp, cb, and dp. I'm keeping it at stock boost levels till I get some money to seriously modify. My only mod on the car right now is a Pettit Racing TKT Cold Air Intake, and I Don't What The Hell Kind Of Exhaust. Thanks

As far as I know, a boost controller will eliminate boost creep (I run a Profec B and am very happy with it, easy to use and install, and very effective). Also, I might be wrong but I have been told that you should not run a mid pipe on the stock ECU because it can cause you to run lean.

i think you should just port the stock wastegate and get a remapped ecu instead of a boost controller.

A boost controller, no matter how expensive, will NEVER eliminate boost creep, however, it will help reduce spikes.

Porting your Wastegate should fix boost creep.

The actual porting is cheap. The problem is that the turbos need to be removed to do it (and of course reinstalled). It's a pain to do it and it's expensive to pay someone else to do it.

Or would it be easier to buy an external wg, becuase down the road I want to turn the boost up to 15psi with all the correct mods on the stock twins? (That will be in 20 years)

The wastegate is internal on the stock twins.

If the wastegate is already at 100%, what else can a boost controller do? Nothing, hence why boost controllers can't help boost creep, but they do help boost spikes as that's just the wastegate not responding fast enough.

boost controller can only open the wastegate so much. once its fully open, if theres still too much flow it will still overboost. porting the wastegate helps control it.
