Why is there lots of white smoke after washing engine bay
I have alot of white smoke coming out of the exhaust and engine bay during idle after washing my engine bay coming from turbo area. After letting it idle for while the smoke seemed to decrease. I got a code and I think it's the knock senor. Could this be a the cause, and how important is this senor??? Could it's just be the engine degreaser burning off, than again it's coming out from the exhaust as well. Somone know whats wrong??

Well, I think its safe to assume that you got water in the exhaust somewhere ![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
I had a coolant line leak, and it was leaking right on my DP. I discovered that I had a small gap that I can't even notice an exhaust leak out of, but coolant leaked into the DP. It pissed me off cuz I thought I blew an O-ring

You may just have sprayed some water into the exhaust tip or maybe the car didn't warm up enough when you back it out of drive way for the wash. I wouldn't worry about it.
The knock sensor should be replaced if the code comes back after you reset the ecu.
