why does my car still wheel hop

I had pettit instal a launch kit during spring break. Well the dam thing still wheel hops like a bitch at any rpm, when I pop the clutch. I dont know if it matters but I have s'03 tires. Can any one help me solve this, are the launch kits adjustable?

Did you put the complete kit in(inc.upper control arm bushings) or just the trailing arms and differential mount ? The launch kit solved my hop problem by about 90 %. Horrible before I installed the launch kit.

I have the K2RD kit, and it works GREAT!!!!

What do you launch at though? I've got Yokohama A-032R's on the back and I don't wheel hop...

well, I was in the wal-mart parking lot and wanted to leave a big burn out mark. I was doing 5mph and reved up to 6-7k and dumped the clutch then thud thud thud thud. all I got was a lot of little 1 foot burn out marks.

Nice Video Vosko. I tried a couple burnouts at the track but left my ABS fuse in which ruined it for me. I do doughnuts all the time but not many burnouts. What do you keep your revs at when you do them? I've seen some people just keep it hammered and keep bouncing it off the rev limiter but yours sounded nice and clean.

i also get wheel hop, but i have no launch kit. I figured wheel hop should be minimal, if any, on my 17x11 " rims. My friend with an automatic cl type s can leave better tire marks on the street.

maybe your PPF is cracked just ehough to flex.

Anyway, you'll have a hard time doing a real good impressive burn out with your abs fuse in.

Whats a PPF and where can I look to see if its cracked.
Yeah, the only time I really get wheel hop is when Im moving. When Im at a stop I rev up to 3600rpm and I get a little wheel hop, and a little spin.
Thanks V. Man

And no one comments how assanine it is to do a big burn-out in the Wal-Mart parking lot? Have you seen how people drive in parking lots? How about kids running around?

BTW, before the inevitable "*****" calls and flames begin, I do stupid things like run her up to 150+ on public roads too. But a burn-out in a busy store parking lot sounds like every 16-year old Mustang or Camaro driver I've ever seen. Grow up.
