Why the 3 wire O2 sensor?

I went to advance auto... The had the o2 sensors for the RX-7 for $10... I got 2
But whats the deal? The 3 wire does heat up instantly but the ecu only reads that when the temp is up so there is no point for a stock or near stock rx-7

The part # is 004966 and its made by Bosch!

It works perfectly! My a/f gauge is stable for the first time ever!

The 3 wire is electronically heated. My non-heated Bosch O2 sensor starts reading within 2-3 minutes of starting, so I don't really think that heating is necessary with an RX. In any case, they both work the same way...

Whats the part number for the non-heated sensor ??? Is the number listed a Bosch number or advanced auto number ???
