Did you wire up a relay? or did you hook the lights straight into old light power source?
They are not that easy if you want them done right.

Hmm, I guess I was lucky then as I paid 100 for a set. They are done absolutely correct (I am an EE) and, function just like stock, save for being HID projectors.
I too thought about offering a retrofit for people, but honestly it is very simple so there is little point as anyone can do it.

The exception with my FD is my sound system. My dad and I did that ourselves, and it turned out really nice; however, I did a lot of research before even attempting it so that I would do things right the first time.

Speedworks, the only issue would be the fitting. These projectors are one of the smallest ones out there so they should be easier to work with. I've sorta eyeballed these for a retrofit on a local buddies FD with sleek lights and it looks like they will definitly work.
If your question is about the light output with clear lenses, well yeah, of course they'll work...the clearer the better. But with the stock fluted lense our options are limited, so I left it as is, and it still looks fine.

Rotary Freak
My concern goes to the cut edge efffect the light beam has to have (in Europe at least)
It means that the passenger side light shines further than the driverside with an opgoing fade to the right. Not a straight top line from left to right, if you know what I mean.
I'm not that much into lights but a sleek light kit is on my list preferably with HID/Xenon.
So I always wondered, if you have a HID/Xenon lense, if they have a build in cut for the light beam or not.

i think i know what you are talking about, is it my car:
i should let you know however that for mine, just the low beam HID's cost $989 and the 2 catz fog lights that are not made anymore cost about $150-200... thats $1200 for only parts!! and my car and his side by side make no difference in lighting!! his are awesome and i like mine and all but he can drive it without worrying! i have to stop and shut off the lights when i see a cop!!
Think about that!![/QUOTE]
awesome exactly what i want.... how is it illegal the height of the lense seems to be the same and the lighting doesn't seem obstructed. and your lights still retract. please just e-mail me. don't want to jack this site brokencarguy@yahoo.com

My set-up is in my sig, but it needs a little refining. Best bet is to go to a eurocar junkyard or impot junkyard and find a nice HID kit you like and build your own set-up like I did in my sig picture. My lights still pop-up and retract with the light switch or pop-up button.
EDIT: I went ahead and uploaded some pics. I am not telling where i got my lenses, because I like the uniqueness and originality. SORRY

the lights above are from an inifinity qx4.
the bimmer headlights are so much better...qx4 is nothing really special at night.
a lot of civics here get them from the junkyard and use them as fog lights.
