Bosch 044 is an external pump but one of the best.
and who is it that said that denso pumps are made in china now? whoever it is you spoke to is buying from a knockoff source... yes, some imitation supra TT pumps are made in china but not the actual denso units.

fd3rain, you gotta do more SEARCHING and less THREAD STARTING.
You've been a member for less than 3 months and have 50 posts, but 10 of those are new threads!?
Not trying to give you a hard time but you keep asking questions that have been covered, a lot. So far you've started new threads to ask:
Which fuel pump do I buy?
Which ECU should I get?
Does the PFC come with a map pre-loaded?
What's different about BNR twins?
etc.
These are all questions that can be easily answered by SEARCHING.
Cheers, and good luck.

From: FL-->NJ/NYC again!
Tom has a good point.
FD3rain, i'll have to add you to the list of noobs who aren't using the forum properly..... next silly thread you start (PFC preloaded map, seriously?) you gets the ban hammer
I'm kidding (sort of) but do us a favor and start searching, you're not some kind of pioneer with the FD ya know

I'm using the rp pump (rx7.com) and I love it.
The pump fit like oem and they have excellent customer service. Unless you're going 500+ hp, I think this is the way to go. Then again, I haven't really tried anything else

just about any of the above will work, but the stealth 340 and walbro 400 are the newcomers and time will tell how well they can take the abuse.
i'd say most issues with the pumps are due to insufficient gauge wiring feeding the pumps and cooling, the in tank pumps cool through the gasoline in the tank, if you run the tank low regularly then the pumps are not getting enough cooling.
just about anything over stock you NEED to run new wire, at least 10 gauge and do the bulkhead modification to the tank as the stock tiny pin connector is going to bottleneck the amperage and likely burn out the connector or the pump. glad my series 4 already has a decent bulkhead connector on the pump housing.

you may see it, you may not. the wiring and connectors are getting older, also depends how decent the connections are upstream.
unfortunately most people disregard the importance of how well the pump is functioning and it's reliance on the original wiring.

Running new walbro 400. No problems so far other that finding out how the stock wiring sucks lol. Rewired fuel pump with relay and i also rewired the starter with a relay. So far my car starts everytime.
