I wish I drove mine more often but parking at work is done in a valet garage across the street... Not knowing what goes on up in that garage literally terrifies me, and that's with me driving a Grand Cherokee to work. Otherwise, I'd love to DD my RX7 at least part of the time.

I dunno man. I mean I just replaced my fuel pump recently and I don't expect it to be replaced anytime soon. I bet many on the boards have ran their pumps for 90k+ miles.

200k km's and counting, (wasn't all me though)

Been daily driving it and will continue to do so. It's far from stock but the Apexi ATS keeps the noise down so its great. It kinda smells though lol

I fall into this, I hate driving fast cars in bad weather. Now that the sun is starting to come out I'm driving it way more. I wish the sunny warmth never went away.

I had a 246 GTS Dino that I totally rebuilt. It was perfect. But I was afraid to take it any where. Katrina took it swimming. It taught me the lesson of… find a driver and enjoy it.

I drove my 3rd gen to work everyday for 8 years until I retired. The young guys at work loved it. Always bantering if the big bore Corvettes, Firebirds, etc. were faster.
But you already know the answer to that one.

I call it Freckles because of all the rock chips. It has 160K miles on it.

Winter is a wonderful time to drive in the South.

you DD guys...where do you park you car when you go to the movies, or go to a place that only valets? I would not trust my FD in an LA parking lot alone for too long. Heck the few times I drive it to the gym I park it on the street a block or so away in the neighborhood. I don't trust compact only lots, when seem to be the majority here. The SUV people seem to think they are compacts.

i feel pretty safe with my 5000 sq. ft. 2 way remote/alarm, vibration sensors are set so sensitive that after couple hours in the sun, the alarm will set off from the vibration of heat.

yea, i'd say 80% of our parking lots here have pretty wide spots and i park as far as i can to prevent dings, and 3 years of daily driving, i only got 1
but i do not live in downtown so that makes things very different

i typically try to park in a larger spot, or away from the crowd, but ive been daily driving mine for almost 3 years now i think, and quite a few times per week i have to park in tight spots, or next to idiot soccer moms that dont know how to park their SUVs properly.
i definitely get my share of door dings and chips, usually get them fixed once a year, its cheaper if you fix 2 or 3 at a time.

honestly though, i gladly suffer the door dings and scratches for the daily satisfaction of enjoying my rx7. those are battle scars!

i mean... its a mazda... not an exotic or something. all the little stuff can easily be fixed, and the whole car can be replaced for $15-20k these days with low mileage.

i dont see a point in trying to baby it....enjoy it!

I do!
My job is a couple minutes from my home, and since I manage a shop, I just park it in the garage

I'm definitely gonna install my Viper alarm system in the FD as soon as I get it out here to San Diego.

Hopefully that's enough..

I chose a spit between 2 carsi am comfortable with. I wont park out in the open, drawsto much attention and opens you up to more than door dings. I usually try to park with a car in one side and curb on the other. At school I park in the garage, nothing has happened yet but my paint sucks and is getting a work over in august so no worries.

I daily drove mine for the first 8 months of ownership. I am a field tech so I average 100 miles a day in stop & go traffic. I had NO issues and only stopped because of the fuel consumption.

My son has been daily driving his for 2 yrs. he drives it like he stole it, races it every chance he gets and it is still ticking. He has even over heated it once due to a failed heater hose but a bottle of Blue Devil kept her running.

I drive it about once a week to work, but it's 120 miles round trip, so usually only on weekends or to special events.

I've DD mine for 9 months out of the year for the past 13 years. 65 miles round trip daily commute for past 8 years. I guess it's worked for me because I lift the hood to let it cool down when I get home and it has always been garaged.

same here. Weekend car only but it varies from 150-250 miles total if I drive it both sat and sun.

Daily driving is relative. Driving the car everyday is and isn't daily driving persay. If your job is 1 mile away and that's all you use the fd for, that's not really daily driving.

Imo daily driving consists of multiple trips per day, everyday. To work, to the grocery store, to pick up your sibling/SO lol. It involves being stuck in traffic. That's real daily driving.
