Who bored out my 850's to 1300cc's?
I just bought a new set of 850's to put in my primaries, but when i went to remove both fuel rails, I found something etched on the 850 secondaries I already have. It says "SNGX-1300" etched on the side of the two 850cc's that were in my secondary rail. I'm assuming that this means they've been bored out to 1300cc's. I have a couple of questions.
1. Based on this etching, who bored out these injectors?
2. How reliable are these bored out injectors?
3. If I have no interest in drag racing, and mainly like to autocross my car (on and off throttle a lot), would it be better for me to keep this 550/1300cc setup or should I just go ahead and use 850's in both primary and secondary? Modifications are just intake, 3" exhaust system, Greddy SMIC, and a Power FC. Car is still sequential.
You can't see real well in this picture, but it says "SNGX-1300"

Linder Injector service does this job routinely. They are located in Indy (on the famed Gasoline Alley). Most 1300-cc injectors are bored out 850-cc injectors, so yes the 1300-cc secondaries are VERY RELIABLE...
550-cc for primary, 1300-cc for secondary is the setup most FD enthusiasts use for good hp. 850-cc primary might be a bit rich, and the car might stumble...

1. They look like RCs.
2. Should be very reliable. RC has a good reputation. Injectors can get dirty and clogged, but usually they either work or they don't. It's a simple electromagetic design. The ecu does the hard part and the injector just responds to the signal.
3. Of course 850/850 can work fine, as well as 850/1300. Stick with what you have. As my Dad used to say..."If it works, don't fix it!" Other reasons are that achieving a smooth idle is less troublesome, and the FD was designed to have larger injectors in the secondaries.

yea.....there's like a five digit serial number engraved on one side of the injector and on the other is the flow rate like in the picture where it says "SNGX-1300". Well....looks like I just wasted $270 on a new set of 850cc's I won't be needing anymore. Anybody want a set of brand new ones?

You didn't just waste money on 850's. Install them as primaries and tune it properly.
Installing 850s as primaries will only make the car rich if not tuned for it. Also, your idle is not going to resemble a bridgeport's just by installing 850s.
