...Which means, stop doing donuts before you blow your motor and destory your car.
Are ppl really buying FD's nowadays just to do stupid things w/ them? Heck, I even frown on buying an FD to drag race lol. It's a purpose-built car. Go to a roadcourse. Find out why this car was hailed as a return to the pure sports car...

I've been wondering the same thing myself.

Never. Ever. I have an FB I play with. The FD is hardly a toy. It's one of the most dangerous cars I've ever been in.
It's ppl who take the car so lightly that end up posting the stories about hitting curbs, spinning into center dividers, hitting walls, wrapping around poles...
Oh and FYI, holding the steering wheel turned all the way like that for even a few seconds on a car equipped w/ power steering is a sure fire way to destroy your power steering REAL quick...

To be safe, don't go do donuts unless you have close to 1/2 tank of gas or more. Otherwise you can experience fuel starvation. Doing stuff like this can be fun from time to time, but tires are expensive and so are wreckless driving tickets. Make sure you don't go sliding into a pole either.

ill admit, i did a donut one time in a empty parking lot at night about 2 years ago.
it was fun and i had my fill. Dont see why you would need to do numerous donuts. Its not anything special cause you can do a donut in ANY car.

you guys are so quick to be **** suckers... i was in a wet parking lot in the rain super slick spun a dounut the car didnt like it i was wonderin why... i have a super mint fd that i would never beat and i have one i put together from parts and yes its a beater... if your worried about tires costing money you shouldnt be driving an fd... so thanx quicksilver_rx7 for the realistic reply... im not trying to be a message board super hero like most of you guys.. so yes i have a beater fd that i will probably hold at full throttle till it blows up then put an ls1 in it... im sure i will hear the crying now...

Oh my good, are all you people gay??!
i thought most of us bought this car because we want to have fun...
at least i did, and who here can say that a smoking donut on 285 tyres doesnt put a big smile on your face sure makes me happy,,,
dont need to destroy the car just because you burn a little rubber.
if the car cant handle that then it must be one pice of crap car (wich it is not)
So just sit there with your fd`s locked away while i go out to have som tyrespanking fun
(just for the record, i do track/autox the car and it is awsome)

I think that everyone should know how to control their car in a slide, especially our cars since they can be a bit tail-happy. Learning this will involve sliding (on purpose or on accident), so do it in a safe place. Autocrosses are a good location, and if you're going to do it in a parking lot, watch out for broken glass and rain gutters.
To avoid fuel starvation, don't race the car with less than 1/2 tank. My car sputtered at 1/3 of a tank at an autocross practice, during a 50mph sweeper.

I ADMIT IM GUILTY..
I have done donuts in a wet parking lot when my car was stock with wheel/tires.
I tell ya its fvcking fun as fvck.. Especially when you get to the centrifical force.
when you are just spinning like on an axis's.. Never had stalling issues..
You maybe stalling because, you are not giving it enough gas..
IM assumming you are fish tailing into a donut, sometimes when you fishtail
your car might roll back a little causing you to stall.. Just Mash the gas.
When you upgrade your wheel/tire package and your tires alone cost 300+ each with out install.. You'll think twice. Have fun and watch them wheel bearings..

On the fuel tank thing, I autocross only with a full tank (hate the weight, but an 1/4 tank does not work and a 1/2 tank has too much dynamic weight shift in the corners). On the track I start pressed and pit at 1/3, I run for fun not engine building opportunities.
