Where to hook up for additional tach?

Ok, kinda rice, I know, but I have this 60mm Defi Link tach I want to hook up to my gauge system. I'm thinking of making myself a pod, kinda' like the one below, or just putting it in my glove box. I really only want it for playback and/or peak values. Basically, I've taken my FD to 2 shops for service, one was for a windshield, one to get my faded hood painted. Both of them took my car (without permission) for 3-4 mile "test/joy" rides. If I EVER have to go back to another shop (my windshield IS cracked again) I want to be able to monitor peak values and point them out to them. Of course, I do have the PFS PMC now, so I can limit them to 4k RPM.
So, anyhow, the question is, where do I hook up for the Defi link tach and how do I set the control modual up, for 3,4,6,8 cylinder operation? All the instructions say is to splice into the negative side of the coil, but I'd figure I'd better research it a little first. Any pointers?

Frank

I know there isn't any gauges in them, as I was in a hurry to take pics, but you get the idea.

Connect to the leading coil trigger wire going to or from the ignitor. This will give two firing pulses per rpm like a 4 cyclinder engine.

Cool, thanks Chuck.
So would this mean I could just tap into the Green wire of my J&S Ultrasafeguard (igniter input from ECU, leading coil)? I'll double check my wiring diagrams though.
