I got tipped off by a local shop that works on rotors. I was making an appointment to have a compression test done on a vert that I was thinking of buying and the guy said a customer was selling a cherry R1 w/ new motor, tranny and turbos that they did. You should call some shops that work on 7s to see if anyone is selling.

I looked for 6 months for a black R2 1995. I finally found one on Autotrader of all places. So I snatched it up right quick...and had it brought up here from Florida...and then it didn't take me very long to start ripping it apart.

I found mine 60 miles from me off autotrader.com after scouring all the photobuys, sportscar trader, etc. for 8-9 months.... At the very end i ALMOST gave up & went with a '01 Toyota MR-S. Then i realized that the back of the car looks like the front

I found mine on the internet. The car had 54K original miles. Totally stock. And a tranferrable warranty. He was a private seller and the 2nd owner. He had it only for 1 year 'cuz he needed a car to carry stuff when going to college. Carfax showed the mileage to be correct and that the car was always local (not brought up from TX or something like that). No insult intended to our TX owners, it is just in Illinois some unscrupulous sellers buy cars from arid states because the body does not corrode like the winter salt we have.

I found mine at a Mazda Dealership back in 1996. Test drove an VR R1, but ended up buying the Silver Touring FD(w/ only 15,800 miles!) that I found out back getting washed, one that wasn't even up for sale yet....
