An impact wrench is by far the easiest way to get it off without destroying it in the process. If you don't have access to a compressor, take the car somewhere and ask them to take it off for you. You can still run the car without the power steering pump and AC pump for the drive home.

make a tool with some 1/4 inch metal rods and some of those flat metal strips that have the holes in the middle down the length of them. these can both be found on the same lane at home depot racing store....
then get a hacksaw and make two 2 or 3" lengths of the metal rods and cut 1/3 of the flat metal strip off. make a little lever connecting it with a bolt like what it shows for their "special tool" in the FSM and hold that while you wrench on it with a socket wrench.

thats what ive done in the past at least.....

all you need to do is stick a 10 mm wrench or screw driver around the housing so that it doesn't move.

PB blaster and an impact should do. Then use two large pry bars to evenly pry off if it is really on there good. It is somewhat easy to break. Don't use a pulley puller ....

Just use the belt and wrap around the pulley, up over the idler pulley, and around the water pump pulley. Take your wrench and allow the belt to "bite" in on itself as you spin the pump bolt in the off direction. The belt will bind and the bolt will come off easily. Be careful as the pulley is made of plastic with a ribbed metal ring on the outside where the belt rides.

Email me for a picture if you are unsure of what I am talking about.

I took a hammer and smashed the pulley to bits, then i grabbed the remaining metal in the center of the pulley with some pliers and unscrewed it..
Then replaced with my Unorthodox pulley..

I didn't have an air compressor so when it became engine removal time the first thing I did was remove the p/s pulley. I do have an air tank so I charged it to 100 psi and bought a cheapo $25 impact gun. Nut zapped right off and I was able to remove the pulley with only my hands.

I just used an impact wrench to get the nut off, then wiggled the pulley until it came off. Only took about 30 seconds. You don't even need anything to hold the pulley still. If you don't want to buy an air compressor, you can buy electric impact wrenches. You'll end up using it many times in the future.
