Okay, what does everyone use to hack away at the bumper for their FMIC? In the past I've always used a simple dremel cutting wheel, which has given mixed results at best. Surely there must be a better way, so let me hear it!

a Hack SAW... alright not funny but still.

I was going to use a dremel cutting wheel but now that I've read your post I'm curious as to what were the negatives of this approach?

Air tool with 3 inch cut-off wheel. It makes quick work of both the rebar and the fascia material. Downside is that you need to wear a mask and do it outside because it throws a sh!tload of dust.

It's just tedious and you have to take a lot of time to make sure it's just right.

4" Angle grinder with a cutting wheel attached. Basically the same as the 3" air cut off wheel.

Yep, 3" air powered cut-off wheel is what I used. Made VERY quick work of the job.

If you use a Dremel, get the reinforced cut-off wheels - they'll last a zillion times longer than the non-reinforced ones.
