In what colors did the 1992 FD3S come with?
#3
FYI, the accepted year designations start in 1993, although no doubt some "93s" were built in 92. So when referring to an "FD", the earliest model year is 1993, no such thing at a 92.
Colors were in yellow (R1 model only), black, silver, red, white, and montego blue.
I'm sure someone will chime in with some links, but browse around this board a little and you will find pictures of every color, and then some.

Well, he is from Norway so it's possible he could import a 92 FD. The FD came out in 1991 in Japan. I'm sure the colors are the same ones as the 93+ FDs here.
I don't think I've ever seen a pic of a Montego Blue FD from Japan.

Yes, in Japan as well the 91 was the mid point of production. So you will have a 91 FC and a 92 FD. I am not sure on the color choices but I will not assume they are the same, of course some will be but the CYM was only for the 93 FD's, where as White was not an option for 93 models.

My 93 was built in 2/92. #1442 off the line.
So in the US the colors were.
Competition Yellow Mica, CYM
Silverstone Metallic, SSM
Montego Blue, MB
Vintage Red (actually two different reds, both called Vintage Red), VR
Brilliant Black, BB

But we are talking about 92's. Manufactured for the Japanese markets, or Norway I presume, but not the US models which did not debut here until the 93 model year. So we are a year behind. If they kept the same colors than you list is accurate but they may have changed for the 93 model year just like they did in 94.

For reference, my '93 was one of the later ones with an 8/92 build and a VIN close to 11,000. If you do a correlation of build dates versus VIN's, its readily apparent that Mazda made LOTS of FD's early on and then slowed down considerably as the year progressed.

onlye one FD3 has been sold in Norway for the price tag of 170,000$.
Insain? yes... The Norwegian tax system was really fucked back in 1993 when the car was bought...! Mazda probebly bought the car for the same price as the US Mazda dealers, the rest of the money went straight to the Norwegian tax system.
I might import a Rx7 from Japan. A friend of mine just got his Rex from Japan, 17" Re Amemiya rims, HKS exhaust, Mazdaspeed diffrensal, Mazdaspeed coilovers and some other stuff... He paid 12.000$ for it... And that price included 24% Norwegian VAT.
If he wants to drive it on the roads he needs 11.000$ more to get the plates....( all this money goes straight to the goverment to)
A Euro version 1993 rx7 costs about 37,000$ here......
or you can get a japanese version for the total of 23.000$....
I can save 14.000$ if i buy the RHD japanese version...
I think i will go for a silver one...! If it need repainting i would deffenetly go for the Blue Mica.... I saw a bunch of then when i was at the Auto Salon this year...
Here are some pics...
This is Trusts turbo warehouse....
Re Amemiya boot...
From the parking lot (almost 1/20 cars here were FD3s)
