just like how its ridiculous to flush your coolant every year. or to get new spark plugs every 10k-15k miles. yeah its crazy...this whole maintenance thing. we should stop doing it all together. it would make our lives a hell of alot easier

^You can't assume all that just b/c changing oil regularly/frequently is good, changing them more regularly/frequently is better. Would 100 miles be better than? According to you it would.

Spend some time doing a bit more research on oil change intervals and you might re-evaluate your intervals. bobistheoilguy is a good site.

To the OP - you're not going to get an answer to the 'best' oils. Everyone here on the forum is just a hack and expressing their personal opinions. If you really want to learn and understand which oils are 'best' for a given scenario, navigate over to Google and start looking for research and technical docs.

good to see you are at least consistent. Ridiculous reasoning/reply to go with ridiculous guidelines on changing oil.

P.S. In my FD, I change the spark plugs at NO MORE than 3k miles (br10's). I wouldn't think of going 10k-15k on any modified rotary setup pushing decent power.

So has anyone else had experience with the Redline differential oil? Or do they have any other recommendations for diff fluid? Thanks

look...its just a bit of sarcasm. plz dont take it the wrong way.

the op asked for advise on oil, so i gave it. ive read into it many times and its been said that fd's consume more oil than your average vehicle. also, whats the oil being used for? its for keeping the engine cool. why wouldnt you go to somewhat extreme's to try and eliminate heat? with any fd i consider it a must to change oil frequently. thats just the way i look at it
