Ever think that he said that so all the non beleiver would stop bitching?

His car weighs 2350.

i was there when resource weighed his car....and it weighed in at 2350. Why is this so hard to believe? if you seen the car, you'd see why it's so light. The fella has done some crazy **** to save on weight. If a part required 4 bolts to hold on he'd only use 2. **** like that

That was a mistake. My car weighs alot more than that. The scales around here are bogus. Try 2660 without me in it.
[/QUOTE]

Besides, he posted the list of everything he had done to the car -- no way in hell it would reduce weight to 23xx lbs.

It's hard to believe because it's impossible.

Yep. 2660 is totally believable. 2350 (450 lb off of stock) is not (without extensive weight modifications).

and that's the reason he said that. Because everyone was bitching like babies. He had it weighed at 3 different places and they were all within 15 lbs.

2350 is his weight.

A stock Base model FD weighs about 2760lbs full of fuel.

Take most of the fuel out, ~15 gal @ 6lb/gal and you'll have "saved" about 90lbs.

Spare weighs about 23lbs
Jack and "tools" 8lbs (?)
AC and PS ~40lbs
Airbag stuff, ~20-25lbs
Stereo (base) ~10lbs
Cruise ~ 5lbs
Exhaust with no cats ~50lbs
Airpump ~10lbs
L/W Flywheel 10lbs
Smaller battery 10-20lbs

So that is getting the car down to 2460-2480lbs or so.

What are you? His car rep?

If his car weighed 2350 and that was that, then there's no reason whatsoever he should have to justify it to anyone. Making up stories or "changing" the weight to shut people up.. What's the point?

No justification going on. Your arguing that my car doesn't weigh 2350 when in fact it does. That is the argument.

There's about 30 different things I could add to that list.

so if anyone needs to talk to Eric i guess the name of the week to reach him at is Hamburgler.
i am sure other would like an update on how that 8.8 is working out.

BTW, whos computer/screen name is it if its not yours? and why are there two people on the same name?

Nobody you would know, maybe you do. His name is Tim.

I'd use my own computer but I'm sick of making up names.

The 8.8 is the same. Unbalanced driveshaft, leaky rear trans seal from wrong size driveshaft yoke, extremely loud rear suspension from solid heim/4 link. Loud howl from gears. Shocks brackets were welded on crooked so they're in a bind causing them to break often.

other than that the 8.8 is doing wonderful.

My point exactly. It is easy to demonstrate how it IS possible to lighten up the car significantly.

My original C-West bodykit is light weight. Unlike copies or replicas. Even though the wheels are heavier than stock my car weighs in at 2350.

Like it or not.
