"warm up" time

what is a good amount of time to let your car warm up before u give it some good acceleration?

Probably a minute or two after driving. The temp is probably a better indication of when you can let her rip.

I start it up and then drive about 1/2 a minute later, BUT I don't boost and don't pass 3000rpm till a FEW MINUTES past normal operating temperature.

Especially now with cooler weather coming. Let it idle a bit, expect more steam than a piston-pumper, watch the temp guage and monitor the backfires on small throttle blips, if any(cold O2=rich oxygen).

i dont take it above 3500 rpm until its been at normal temp for at least 5 minutes. Why chance it??
