walbro problems?

i just installed my walbro fp 255lph. Everything was good. But i am not sure if the parts that were supplied were good enough. It came with a little o ring and a little white thing that goes with the o ring. I ran the car, everything was great until i go on wot. Then my af gauge said i was running extremely lean. The car didn't run very good after that. I pulled out the fuel pump and i didn't really see anything wrong. I hooked up the walbro to a 12v battery and grounded it and pumps great. What do you guys think is the problem? I think that the oring and the other thing don't hold the pump in place because of the pressure.

If you install the white thing and oring wrong you will get gas spraying out into the tank and not get proper pressure.

i am pretty sure i installed it right, when i took it out it looked good.

but i do think that it might have not made a good seal. I am thinking about cutting the copper pipe and just run a hose from the pipe to the fuel pump. Would that be a good idea?
